This video is so so helpful! I had no idea I could add my own material to the settings. I'm using 4ml mylar stencil sheet from Folk Art, a company here in the US and none of the other pre-set settings were cutting deep enough. I created a setting for the deep cut blade, 3x at 350 pressure and it worked perfectly. Now I can't wait to create all my own stencils! thank you so much for this tutorial! FANTASTIC!!!

Thanks for the great video. I knew there had to be a short cut to adding multiple "sticks" at one time. You just saved me a TON of time!!!

Great video. Love learning about the mousse. One thing I was waiting to learn about was how to clean them after you've used them? Do you try to get the adhesive off the back for next time or do you just let it stay on there and reapply adhesive?

Thank you for the video and for sharing this useful information. What Cricut setting would you suggest using to cut Mylar 190 micron stencil material, please?

what if you don't have a 400 dollar cricut machine, can you cut lettering with an xacto fairly easily?

Hi. I would really appreciate your help. When I make a stencil, i put many images on the sheet and it cuts a square around each image (I did not put a square around any image) which cuts out all of the images separately. I upload images that I find from the internet. I want all of the images on 1 sheet together. I called Cricut and they were no help. Thank you.

awesome, thanks for the vid! I see you have a custom heavy mylar setting too, what pressure is this on and is this for 190 micron for example? x

I have a newer video for Mylar. The problem with Mylar is it’s not just about the gsm. It’s about the ridgidity of it. I have tried many throughout the years and in the newest video I link to the one I now use and the setting I use for it. Just type in Crifty crafty stencil and you’ll see it. I need to take this one down really ❤️

Hi! Thanks for sharing! I purchased 4 mil/ 0.1mm mylar sheets and Cricut said it may break my machine because it's too thick. Can you advise me on what size to get? I am struggling to find on amazon
@shannonfrabbiele35073 жыл бұрын
I purchased 4 mil on Amazon and it seems too thin for a stencil. I used the mylar setting on Cricut to cut it and it worked fine just isn't a very thick stencil material for long term use. I'm looking for something thicker.

aaron fuksa you would be better with 6mjl and up
@aaronfuksa20474 жыл бұрын
@@marilu191 nope. 3 mil is the spot for uneven surfaces. 4+ mil for extra reusability & best for metal. 5 mil thickest & for certain rare projects. I got it down to a art form. 2.5 mil is getting far too thin, but some extra sharpness if its to rough & lightly spray painted. Then very heavy to commercial is 14 & 30 mil, or 60 &120 mil. Handle with care. Making & selling stencils always, ready for high cost stencil art pieces!

Could not source milky white 3 mil mylar...extra expensive, minimum ordering. Working fine with clear sheets. Peals off once dried.
