If you're clamping a value between 0 and 1, use the Saturate node (its essentially free on the GPU)

Can you make substrate teeth material? Real teeth have a sort of translucency

could we use the same technique for a normal material on unreal engine a non substrate one ? Thank you

Sure! Connect the nodes into ALBEDO and EMISSIVE channels

Seems like this doesn't necessarily need substrate right? It would work fine in a regular material from what I can tell? I actually avoided a lot of your videos because of Substrate in the title/thumbnail since its not quite ready for production yet. But now I'm thinking I'll go back and check em' out.

The current substrate is not suitable for large-scale local editing scenarios, and does not pose a big problem for product display.

Yes, It works fine with non-substrate materials. You can also apply other technique in my other videos

@user-ev4ud5xs2j I agree...but they work fine in small projects like product visualization and the automotive field

Can you please publish an issue about the opacity of the new material system design of substrate - especially after the old material is converted to substrate, the opacity cannot be directly linked. . .
@polyjam.studio7 ай бұрын
I didn't get any problems with the opacity channel. Can you explan better what you mean?
