The floral painting on the left (around the 30:00 mark) is stunning! I let out an audible, “Ooooooh, that’s so pretty!” 🤩😍

I really love this concept of giving opinions on different pieces of Art, critiquing and discussing different ideas and what sells. Thank you for sharing!❤

I pause before each critique and guess which painting would be most sellable.. great way to learn about colour and composition 🙌❤️❤️

Very interesting. I thought that symbolic art is sellable just as specific. Also some of the paintings you analyzed in the color stories I feel like they still sell. But what I gather from this podcast is what a painting needs to be appealing to collectors of fine art, rather than cheap Ikea prints shoppers. I now understand more how to up my game and get collectors attention.

This was really helpful, thanks! I am coming back to this course in the next couple of months mainly to find my voice and theme, colour placement and choice in abstracts and the business side of selling. I can't wait. I realise that i really do need mentoring too.

Hello, watched the live today and wanted to say that a few things hit home for me was salability. Color, theme, and excellence got me thinking of my work that I do now. A lot to think about and get to it in my studio. Also working in a series, that makes sense. Thanks so much for all the valuable information and inspiration!💗🙏

If you start as an intermediate artist who already has a following, and has sold work, does your work get to the point of high end? I guess that would depend on your own work ethic. Having a coach sounds amazing especially when a person has surpassed the point of learning much from KZbin. A program to hone your skills might be the logical next step forward. Since you do a payment plan, it might make financial sense to sign up in November.

Critique for speakers: try not to use filler words like: and, uh, um, so, anyways. The person in the middle said each of these words at least 4 times in the time it took me to write this. Watch this video and count how many filler words you used. You will be a much more powerful speaker if you remove the filler words. Try using a pause instead of the filler words. This is meant to be helpful.

She is an artist not a speaker. But also I feel like sometimes we can also consider that maybe people use filler words because they have a stutter or are dyslexic...things that we don't know/see...not saying she does have any of the things I mentioned but we can consider before critiquing sometimes. Let's just appreciate the effort and message

@@noorassecretgarden897 My intention wasn’t to be rude, it was to offer honest feedback that can help her be a better speaker going forward. Why limit one’s self to only one area of greatness? I think she deserves more credit than you are giving here. She isn’t just an artist, she trains people who then teach people. So, therefore, she could benefit from being a good speaker. A lot of people pay for professional critiques on how to be better speakers and appreciate it. People usually do it because they feel anxious or feel like they have to fill up the silence and are not comfortable with pauses. Instead of using a filler word, one can try pausing instead. It’s an exercise people in public speaking use.

that's just a normal speech pattern, you are reading too much into it. try to relax and enjoy the content instead of hiper focus on people's imperfections...

@@Freeyourself206 you going too deep...free yourself from negativity right..."just an artist" was not derogatory obviously...I am an artist too. She is a great teacher and a phenomenal artist. All I am saying we can focus on the content and leave it at that. I don't think you were rude at all just think instead of critiquing we could praise and be so grateful for the infinite wisdom. A criticism is received better when asked for a criticism, I don't think she paid for your criticism...always encourage and praise efforts. Plus we all talk different even in public, who cares if she is using mmmms and uhhhhs when content is great. All these goodness for free. We don't have to be great at everything it's ok.
