When the lightning flashes you need a light in the 3D scene to match. That would really add some realism.

It`s hard to say without looking at your situation. Maybe you just turned off these objects for the viewport in the outliner visible settings?

how did you easily connect the megascans material into the principal or just in general to the shader editor?

You need to enable the Node Wrangler add-on in Blender then select principled BSDF and use Cntl+Shift+T to select texturies.

I think you have to check if the whole compositing line is connected to the Composite Node as well as to the Viewer. Maybe you didn`t connect something to Composite or hid some nodes...
