I made my shower (3 yrs ago) and it looks and feels amazing even today! (Did my HW, to mk it waterproof, etc) And recently, started making bathrooms, showers, etc (using micro cements, plasters...had professional training). But, I respect ppl who are not afraid to try, and mk projects, and are excited about it. That's how I started too.

Exactly what I was looking for and within my budget. Do not want to splurge on $500 paint mixes. Quick question: would it help if I paint the drywall with cement/concrete (gray) color 2-3 days before I do this ? To completely remove any of those white dots peeking through ? Or just using a handy brush and stroking them with a liquidy cement would do the trick ??

That looks fabulous. The imperfections add to the look and the black fixtures really compliment it. Dark and light patches are to do with disparities in moisture content in the mix. It’s concrete when you add aggregate (sand, pebbles, gravel, small stones, even large stones) Portland cement is the limestone that’s been heated really hot and once you add water it reacts with any silica in the mixture and makes calcium silicates (that’s what makes it hard)

This was great! I have used concrete on bathroom countertop & started in the kitchen. However, due to moist& protection I topped it with resin. I would brush it on, using all kinds of techniques (glitter, paint & wood stain). I polyurethane it to get the true color. I may do that with the wall you inspired me to do. I wanted a brown & wood stain soaks I’m well. I did a sink countertop & the seal around the drain hole was not tight and I had a leak which really didn’t dry. Your wall it vertical so you may not have that issue. Look forward to your other videos, thank you 😊

@@SeekingAlexi Hi..,I think the best way to seal it would be to use SBR agent,or a exterior grade PVA...(even though it is indoors due to water splashes and steam from the shower),and if you paint it ,- a masonary paint would be best for the same reasons,- plus with it being a mortar based render and not plaster, emulsion would not last long on it and would lift and fall off..And if you decide to do any of this,it would be best to remove any dust from the wall using a brush with soft bristles..,that way you will not have any rough bits stuck in the paint or sealer..Good luck with what you decide
