Awesome trick! If you add the threshold as an adjustment layer above it stays non-destructive and you don't have to merge.

Adjustment layer is definitely the way to go, appreciate it 💫

I recommend just using color range select and black then ctrl J while inside photoshop after applying the threshold

Really useful tutorial! Thank youu!!! Is there any way to pixelate the smart object with threshold when its coloured?
@elberttiao Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment and checking out the video. Most definitely. You can get a similar pixelated effect in Photoshop by selecting the object and going to Filter - Pixelate - Mosaic. Hope this helps!

What keyboard shortcut do you use to take a quick screenshot?

This is the tutorial I needed, however when I drop the screen shot into illustrator and I trace the image it also traces the background, it doesn’t create the outlines for just the text 😢
@elberttiao2 жыл бұрын
Hey Linda, thanks for watching! It will trace the background but all you need to do is - click on the background anchor point and deleted it. This will remove the background and give you just the text. Hope this helps 🖤

is there any way to use a similar effect in after effects? I would love to use this sort of text on my projects but I can't find a way to use it consistently without hoping back and forth 50 times between Ai, Ps and Ae

I can't seem to figure out at 3:20 of the video, the short cut you use to bring the text back to Illustrator. I'v looked up so many ways to transfer and I just can't seem to get it. If you wouldn't mind explaining? thad be amazing :)

5:24 where to get vector illustrator?
@elberttiao2 жыл бұрын
Hey lufizz! This one was pulled from Pinterest! If you screen shot the vector illustration and drag it into Google Photos Search, I'm sure you can find the source file for it. Hope this helps 🤘!
