EXTRA TIP: Cubase's "Ping Pong Delay" and "Mono Delay" and "Stereo Delay" have a Sidechain Button!! You can directly send audio signal into this plugins as sidechain, ducking is included and run automatically! you don't need a compressor. ♥️

Cool to know! Wouldnt u have a bit less control on how the delay reacts tho?
@ipoponq2 жыл бұрын
@@joederbyshire_ Both of you are right! If one is unsatisfied how the auto side-chain responds, you can add the compressor plugin.

I have to say that buying cubase has been awesome. These tutorials are so helpful in learning this software and the software is packed with loads of features. Admittedly it does come at a very high cost but I feel that it is worth it if you love to mix and make music

Thanks a lot again for this great Cubase tutorial. Used Multi Tap delay because of it's build-in ducking quite often but didn't consider using the two buttons FB and DL. Thanks to your video now I know how useful they are :)

I actually used the Multi Tap Delay in my last project purely for the ducking facility. Superior, compared to other delay plugins like Audio Thing's Outer Space (which I like very much). Nice one, Dom.

Another great vid Dom. There are a number of delays and reverbs out now that have built in ducking (so you can use them as inserts), the problem is that you may prefer the sound of your go-to reverb - solution 1 works perfectly for this. Maybe you could do us another video, but focusing on reverb tricks with ducking? Maybe on drums or a solo instrument?

Ultimately it's easier for me to manually control and automate the delay than spend hours trying to get the settings just right with a side chain.

Hello. Question please. How would you do the oposite of duck delay? Example. I am have a typical 8dot delay on guitar that i want to hear when playing but when i change chord i want to cut that tail cause it muds up, or sounds off key with nect chord. How can this be done? Thank you

Hi Dom. This was a wonderful video as usual but, I wish you had show us how this would have worked if we had the musical instruments joining in the track so that we could here how the vocal track would sound with the rest of the music in the entire composition.
