thank you kevin, really love your content. super helpful videos! can I make the suggestion that you change you background though? at first when I searched for UX related content and your videos popped up, I was reluctant to click on them before I ''knew you'' just because the background diminishes your value - looks a bit tacky - but this might just be my personal opinion of course. worth a try going for something simpler like plain white - a small change can make a huge difference :) merry xmas

Thanks for watching, Susanne!! 😻 Are you talking about the video thumbnail? 😂 If so , I totally agree they're tacky haha I created them in Google Slides cause I had no idea what I was doing. Thanks for the suggestion, I've been trying new thumbnails here and there :) merry Christmas ⛄🎄!!!

Should surveys be used combined with other research? Which methods if so and should you never rely solely on surveys for research? Also can you make a video on conducting user interviews?

Any tips for a sole UX intern? Read some books read some articles but I feel like a amateur and idk where to go to get guidance (I’ve read UX Team of One)

That's awesome, you're in a great position! What are you experiencing right now in your role? I hear that a team of one usually experiences things that aren't skill-related, but more mindset-related. I'm wondering what you're feeling :) Would love to hear more about your story!

Hey Kevin, thanks for the great video! :) I have a question about how to ask gender in a survey properly? Or my concern is rather what options to use if I offer multiple choice. thanks a lot!
@zerotoux4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, Anna! I'm beginning to see different options such as male, female, non-binary, gender-fluid, transgender, non-conforming, not sure, prefer not to say, and other But always have the option for "prefer not to say!"

great video! do you have any tips for getting survey answers from a non-existent database? (for studies on potential users, not existing ones). I find it very hard to get - first - the email and - then - the actual answers from people with whom we haven't built a professional relationship yet as a company
@zerotoux3 жыл бұрын
Hi Magdalena! For those respondents you'll need to push the survey out, advertise it somehow. So you can post it to forums, groups, classified ads, Amazon Mturk, or use tools like respondent.io to get participants. Hope that helps!

Hi Kevin. I've seen your video and I have some questions. How can I create qualitative questions? How do I know that the questions from my survey are good and are giving me good data? Can you recomand me some sites or books that can show me examples of good survey questions?

How would you prevent or mitigate the distribution of online surveys to non-users? or gaming online surveys?
@zerotoux5 жыл бұрын
One way is to screen your participants first and only those who qualify can answer your survey!

Question about having a neutral option. If someone is getting bored throughout the survey then the chances are they will pick the neutral option (if your survey is 5-10 mins long) so would it be best to have 6 response options in this case?
@zerotoux3 жыл бұрын
Great question, what did you have in mind for the 6th option? For Likert scales you can use even number of options, you can even have 7 options. To handle the problem of picking the same thing every time, you can include a "dummy" question, "please pick X for this question". If they don't you can remove their responses from analysis
@akinosuzuki93683 жыл бұрын
@@zerotoux well its a barometer or scale to get a better read on what people think so if you offer a neutral option then I guess you have to ask yourself how much insight do you gain? Can you gain much insight from a neutral option which is more the question here.
