Thanks for explaining this entire process In very simple way. In the 76th round 1.2, they have provided multiplier. Is this equivalent to the weight as has been calculated in this video.

@@DataOperationsandResearch Sir, what if the variables are already in integer form, how do we proceed then? Actually, I have destring all of the variables before entering any command. And now it is showing r(109) error, hence I am unable to generate the state variables.

Hello sir, your videos is really helpful but i am unable to match my result of whether household have computer in 75th round of nsso. Could you please how can i check this in my result.
@ramumaggu4 жыл бұрын
When you are tabulating, after applying weights, the absolute numbers or percentages you get are for PERSON(PID) Not HOUSEHOLD(HHID). All the results you calculated are at the person level and not the household level. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thank you for the helpful content.
@DataOperationsandResearch3 жыл бұрын
It depends on the level of data that we are operating, however, the way you have put the question i think it is person level.

I want to know sir we always apply the iweight in all other rounds
@DataOperationsandResearch4 жыл бұрын
For most of the cases iw works fine, however, there can be cases where some other weight like pw, aw and fw might be useful. If one wants to apply other weights, then one will have to check the rationale behind doing so. Also, I am thinking of making a video covering this topic.
@jyotsnarosario2204 Жыл бұрын
I have a small doubt. While estimating models, should we use pw weights instead of iw weights?
@DataOperationsandResearch Жыл бұрын
iw should work fine.
@jyotsnarosario2204 Жыл бұрын
@@DataOperationsandResearch iw and pw are giving different results. Also I wanted to ask if we should survey set the data in Stata first? or is applying weights enough? If yes can you make a video on that topic?
@DataOperationsandResearch Жыл бұрын
Match results with the reports, that's the best way to judge which weight is better. Applying weight is important because the data is sampled and we need to make conclusions about the population. I am busy these days, therefore unable to make videos. Hopefully will make more videos in the new year.

sir is there any option of Livelihood diversification index in stata???
@DataOperationsandResearch4 жыл бұрын
For this you will have to first find out about the diversification index that you are interested in. Then after that you can manually make a command to calculate it. So, get the formula for diversification index. Calculate all the components of the formula and then put all the components together and you will have the diversification index.

Hi why did you use iweight and not pweight or aweight?
