So clever using the window cleaner! I've never seen anyone do that. I love the final look of the cabinet, especially the top. Sprinkling the salt onto the wet paint was a happy surprise. It cancels the need to buy costly salt wash. Loved your video. Subscribed. Thank you!

I am always pleasantly surprised by the layer-upon-layer technique and how it creates such age and depth to a simple/modern piece. Your furniture projects are amazingly transformed to perfection and classical beauty that can't be surpassed. Your eyes and heart treat each piece with great intention and succeed beyond belief. I find it difficult, but now am beginning to realize that each layer has a purpose, to imagine what the end result will be by the use of such colors and combined with tecniques that convey an undeniably beautiful look. thank you so much for watching!!! I used an ordinary cheap chalk paint i got in the local diy shop. I use different colors of it quite often as a base cover but i wouldn't blend with it as the consistency isn't that nice to play with.

This is a beautiful piece! Did you let the paint dry before adding each new layer? How much saw dust did you use? Did you sand between layers? Looking forward to trying this. Merci beaucoup!

Thank you for watching! I added about a table-spoon of sawdust for the amount of paint I used, just to make the paint thick enough to get some texture. You can use more or less depending how rough you want the surface to be. I didn't sand until the last layer was dry and i let the paint dry only before applying the clear wax.
