Great video. I have used Rufus (same program) several times for installing Linux. Didn't know that Rufus had options for disabling some Windows' features so learnt something new today.

Rufus is a great program, never used it for this and will never move to window11. I do only local accounts without exception. I don't want things linked together and no one needs it. I figure I can reliably run windows 7 until 2027 and windows 10 until maybe 2030. But more then likely when I build a new computer it will be linux based.

As much as I love Linux, it is not for everyone and has a lot of shortcomings for a majority of every day users who are not very technically adept.

@@_Caddac depends a bit on what you use on a daily basis and really timeshift probably should be setup as part of the installation and simplified a bit for normies that or a immutable distro... with some kind of simplified recovery mode UI... linux desktop has gotten pretty far in usability though yeah it could improve on some fronts. I think though for the browse and game and do office stuff use case its pretty well covered by now
