"Luck" can be increased by exposing yourself to more random opportunity. A good analogy is if you're fishing you will be more "lucky" if you have more lines in the water, better bait, fishing in a more abundant location, etc.

That is not luck, that is preparation. If I buy 100 packets of Skittles I will eventually end up with a higher percentage of one color. Would you call that luck? Hell no! But if I buy one packet and they are all yummy red flavour (due to a production line fuck up) that is lucky!!!

don't know if there is room for this story. but it's so crazy i had to share it. i'm currently doing a business startup. and 1 day a telemarketing guy calls me up about some incasso service. i decline and just as i am about to hang up, i ask him what company he represents. and he informs me it's a lawyer office. i ask them to setup a meeting as i have a lot of other things i would like to talk with them about. so i get to this meeting, sort of regretting i set it up as i would much rather work on what i thought was important, but i show up and i get in there. by chance i get setup with the sales leader of the conpany. an old guy who has done alot of entrepreneur stuff himself. me and him click instantly. and long story short, i can now cross out 1 of my startsups weakpoints, whoch was law. since i just got a business mentor who is a top lawyer in my city.. what is the odds of a bloody telemarketing call ending up with me finding a business mentor? great channel peter. watching your stuff over and over again. and i purchased the lifestream of your upcoming event in london!

I understood and absorbed everything he said but I didn’t catch how changing thoughts to be more positive, effects our luck? Seems like it just makes us notice certain things more. How do I apply this to bettering my luck though?
@TheRealPeterSage Жыл бұрын
A positive mindset affects your luck by influencing your actions, expectations, and interpretations of events. It helps you attract opportunities, act confidently, and see the positive side of situations. To apply this, practice gratitude, visualize success, reframe negative thoughts, and surround yourself with positivity. This will not only change your mindset but also potentially improve your luck as you'll be more open to opportunities and persistent through challenges.

Hey Peter. I was reading about brain plasticity and how we make decisions. The plasticity is more to do with neural networks and decisions more to do with the conscious confirmation bias. In truth, we know very little of what actually goes on in the world. History is distorted by the winners and the back-story often filled in after the fact. "Everything is Obvious" by Duncan Watts goes into all this. Once "we" go into the negative spiral, we re-confirm with our "biases" and make the back story to confirm it. After about three months, the neural pathways are formed to make this the default. Knowing then, that life is somewhat arbitrary, as we really only have about 5% control over the things that happen in life, we must let go of the notion that worring or stressing changes that. The trick then, is to spend three months consciously looking for the best things, and seeing opportunity and being creative so that the brain can form new neural pathways and set up a new default outlook. Does this match your experience? The secret to success then, im told, is shifting from 5% control to 7 or 8%. These are the "three comma club kids".

+Peter Sage Ah, him. I think i saw him first on "What the bleep do we know". Yes, he presents lots of arguments from fallacy. "Quantum, therefore...". And then lists some statistics of the human body, like how much blood is pumped and how many cells divide per hour, and then says "If you dont think that means we're connected to a greater mind, then you need to rethink it". Well, thats just inconsistent on so many levels. Firstly, he assumes that "rethinking" will naturally reach a different result. This is not necessarily true and thats a worrying statement for a scientist to make. (Is he one) And im afraid its akin to the argument of apologists who explain everything by explaining nothing and "We don't know therefore God dunnit" (or some other mystical, beyond human experience entity, quantum field, greater minds, ethereal intelligence, [Ramtha?]) Nonetheless, will have a read, but on first inspection, "Complexity Paradox" seems to offer more.(i.e. chaos, emergent phenomenon and complexity is the explanation; and the paradox, to give away the punch line, is that emergent phenomenon provides local order (stability) long enough for organisms to reproduce, i.e. chaos creates local order to perpetuate itself)

You asked your questions quite a while ago, but it you are still struggling with your mindset, you might look into EFT tapping. If your mind is linked and anchored to trauma, it can be hard to meditate or focus on something positive. Tapping can help lift that heaviness so you can begin to open up the positives. Hope it helps!

In 2001, I was working as a dishwasher for a truck stop diner in Idaho. When my tax return came, I had an estimated $500 to play with. I wanted a car. I went to a local used car lot, and found a Dodge Omni for $500. Wasn't the best car by any means, but I was still grateful that I had a car to cruise around town in, or to get me to work, etc. I never even heard of this car. Never even knew it existed. Until I saw it on that lot as the only thing I could afford. Suddenly, I started seeing more of that exact car everywhere. Fast forward to 2013, where I did the same thing, but with a 2006 Chevy Equinox. Again, another vehicle I was completely unaware of, until I found it on that car lot. To this day, I still see them all about northern California. Thank you for this video. Sometimes, we need this kind of topic broken down to a simple form. And I greatly appreciate this reminder. It brings this Law of Attraction into a perspective that everyone can understand! This video is more than worth it's weight in gold, as the saying goes.

Luck. This is what I tell my own subscribers what adversity is--Known as bad luck--or overcoming adversity. The truth is that the universe dishes out the same bad luck to everyone. Even those born with a trust fund. The difference between someone who never seems to have anything good happen and the one who everything seems to always work out is reaction to bad luck and prior planning. Do you have a plan if your spouse were to die or if you lost everything in the stock market? Another example--I had a plan in advance when I bought oil stocks already halfway to the bottom--then they got crushed again. I already had another fund that was equally crushed but looked promising, much more so in the future recovery. I not only survived but profited a year later. Because my technique is simple--I picture worst case scenario and then plan for it. In advance. You can't control this ruthless universe but you can control what you will do if it throws that meteor at you. And that is the difference between those who crumble and those who succeed no matter what happens. Hope that helps someone out there--Charles
