How To Create Military Care Packages For Beginners

How to send a military care package to your loved one while deployed? What do you put on the inside of a care package? Is it even worth it? Where do I get the boxes from? How can you make a care package special? Honey, I GOT YOU!
In today's video, I am showing you all how I created my very first care package for my husbae for our anniversary and for valentines day. Surviving deployment is TOUGH enough, but let’s not make creating care packages tough too. Have fun with it! Your spouse is still able to enjoy you, and whatever special day you all are celebrating from so many miles away. I decided to go with the five senses gift for his anniversary care package, and for his valentines day care package, I went with snacks lol! I paid a total of $40 to send these boxes, $20 for each one. The hardest part was the customs form, but I asked thousands of questions to the attendant. Let me know if you would like to learn how I completed mine and I will be more than happy to share with you what was shared with me! Now that the process is over, I realize that sending packages is not as hard as it seems.
If you're not interested in using stickers as I did, you can decorate the boxes on your own to save money. If you choose to go the DIY route, I’d highly suggest using Pinterest for inspiration or you can join a military wife Facebook group and you’ll always find some kind of gem!

How did you complete the customs form? I am having trouble with the detail description of items in the box. I have not been able to find a video of how it's filled out and how specific you have to be. I appreciate any advice

Hi Claudia, I’m so sorry for the delay. KZbin didn’t notify me that you commented. I’m not sure if you ever received clarity, but I don’t want to leave you hanging. I put down my information at the top of the form. The second part is where I added my husbae’s information. Under the “shipment information” is where I added the contents of the package, the quantity, and the costs of each item. I’m a visual learner so if this wasn’t helpful, I think I still have a picture of the form. I’d be willing to block out our personal information and forward the picture to you.

Also, I wasn’t too specific. So, for the Valentine’s Day package, I added photo album, cologne, speaker, and teddy bear. I only added the things that I had space for. I don’t know if I did it right either, but they didn’t ask questions, and my Husbae received it. I hope this helps 🫶🏾

Now THAT would’ve done it!! I’ll remember that for sure. I’d love to do it again someday. Do you know my Husbae opened the care package upside down, so he didn’t read the card or open the gifts in a certain order? lol 😂

@@jackiebronson8255 Yes, he got them just fine. It took about three weeks, but I was just hurt that he didn’t open it right 😮‍💨. So, he missed the decorated part and everything lol
