BTW, you can use the roughness setting (the ground material) to control the blurriness of the reflections, try that on your own!

Your approach as a photographer I'm finding to be the most helpful in explaining not only how to set up and light a scene but also the why which is even more important. I'm a graphic designer early in my Blender journey who loves photography but never learned much about studio lighting. Thanks a ton!

Lots of valuable information. I think it's worth mentioning that using Filmic won't give you perfect white no matter what you do. It may appear white, but the color picker will tell you the truth :) So sometimes it's easier to render transparent and later add background in Photoshop or Affinity.

Hello, my dear master. I hope you are great. Your teaching was amazing for me. I really needed this training to create a light studio to produce posters of my work for the 3dsky website. Of course, I didn't need the reflection of my model on the stage floor, and I moved the screen below the models away from the model, and the reflection was fixed😄😄😄thank you sooooo much,

Loved your video ! Thank you , one questiocantn is there a surface which can have shadow and reflection both ? in my head i think in real world shadows and reflections can not coexist on the same surface ? and i know that in blender it is possible :)

It’s a great lesson. Thanks. I have got a question, tho. Why does my plane looks not red, but orange in False Color regime (obviously it means the surface was not overexposed ) when I make an emission material with the strength 2,5 like u did? To make it red I have to make emission strength at least 4. And when i do this, it reflects on the floor but doesn’t make it red. And I can see slightly the difference in color between the wall and the floor. I have to make the wall emission strength around 11 to make the floor reflection red. But at that time the model becomes too bright. What do I do wrong? Thank you

yesterday i am following your another tutorial, using the trick, and it is working. but today it is not working .i have the same problem like the guy below. The floor looks a little bit grey. i have change the color to black or white, and the roughness is 0 .i don't know why it's not working...or is there something wrong with my setting.Anyway it's a very good tutorial!

Hello! I don't know why ti doesn't work to me, only a part, almost everything is ok. The floor looks a little bit grey and there is a diference between the floor and the bacground. I follow all the steps... I think... it's not very complicated. What do you think could it be wrong? Thanks for the videos!!
@WenboZhao2 жыл бұрын
Is background light bright enough or is the ground surface smooth enough, have you tried to change the ground color into black?
@sk8soxerr5 ай бұрын
1. Turn your background light to black 2. Adjust roughness of the floor to your liking 3. Adjust the emission color of floor with strength of 1

@@WenboZhao there is a slight color difference between the ground plane and the back emmision light. It is not looking seemless white. I can't edit it in Photoshop since it is a turntable animation of the product.

all depends on the complexity of your products, having additional option to create images is always better. You can always as others to do the modelling if you are doing production work
