When laying down a multi color transfer, I assume that you lay the colors down in the opposite order of how you would apply it to a shirt or other direct print substrate, correct?

Mylo. Amazing content. Super informative and you explain it simple and easy. Man. This is a game changer. I’ve been pressing shirts with outsourced transfers. But I have screen print experience and been wanting to invest in my own set up and into making my own transfers. Do you have a round about number of a shelf life for the screen printed transfers? Or do you need to press them immediately after screen printing on the transfer sheet?

@dama_gomez2 ай бұрын
Great video! I’m reaserching if I could do I white base screen print and sublimate cmyk on top. Just wondering could it be the cmyk process didn’t work on the black t-shirt, because you did not add white ink in the back of it all? So the design did not have a white base? I’m wondering if the ink process should be reversed as the image will be transferred in mirror, maybe black should be transferred first, then the colors, then white, so when it’s transferred on the t-shirt, the color order is inverted leaving the white as a first layer and so on…

@BigBigNRGYАй бұрын
So it's safe to assume that this process would be more beneficial if you are selling screen printed transfers vs. screen printing directly on to the shirts. Reason being is that if you have a shirt order why go through the extra steps of creating transfers when you can just screen print directly on to the shirt. Thoughts?
@pinkbalem5 ай бұрын
loved the vídeo, i can't seem to understand one thing though. when talking about printing a design, why would you use this method? like instead of printing in the transfer and then the transfer to the shirt why not print directly on the shirt? would love to learn what I'm missing!! thanks

Logically and automatically, the CMYK process for dark media need the white base too, so it should CMYKW just like DTG and DTF. And tranfers should always mirrored.

@UncleRons_3D_Pub11 ай бұрын
Yes, there are quite a few places that will produce screens from your artwork, a quick search should find a few for you. I haven't tried any yet, but did see that Holden Screen Printing advertised on their site that they make screens from your art... I believe Arena does also, but not sure... sorry, sending this off quick before bolting to work, or I would send links

I will admit to being confused. It seems that the transfer requires twice as much work as simply screen printing? You have to screen print onto the transfer and then after the powder process, you have to heat press the transfer onto the garment. When would you want to do this rather than just screen printing?
