Mate, I am of Iranian origin, I have visited Zourkhaneh in Iran and have always been in to meels etc, however you have one of the best techniques I have seen. Very smooth and comfortable. Thanks for the instructional vid, please do one on double swings too. Peace

Outstanding video Mr. Angell. I really like your attitude about swinging meels. You're right, there are too many fanatics out there regarding technique and form. And not just regarding how to swing meels.

Thank you for posting this. Really, really helpful for a beginner like me. I found this through Mr Wolkowinski's videos (which have enthused and taught me). I have also looked to Mr McGuire and Cococlubs. To be clear, what gave me the idea to learn more was when I found videos of the exercise sessions in the Iranian/Persion houses of strenght. Completely alien and absolutely fascinating. I don't really understand the complete background but I can see the physical/mental tradition behind it. I am just on small indian clubs so I have a long way to go. Vids like this are a godsend. Thanks

12:15 by not lifting it above the head, you're swinging it just like what ive seen in the zurkhaneh. my problem is always lifting it. my fear is bashing my head, that's why i lift. how'd you learn to gauge the space?

Let your body move naturally. A few hits and you'll figure out what not to do instinctively. I hit my head a couple of times. Its inevitable bro
