@Winstreak1 Жыл бұрын
Hey raptorx59161! I never worked with GDevelop using Mac products, this could very well be a limitation from that. You should be able to use any other pixel editor you can find online to create your sprites. Save them and then in Gdevelop 'Add a Sprite' should give you a drop down to add 'File(s) from your device'

in events i type in example value of an object variable an it isnt there how do i fix that
@Winstreak1 Жыл бұрын
You need to first create the variable on whatever Object you would like to hold this value. Under Action when you select on that object you can manipulate the object variable through things such as 'Change number variable'. If this doesn't help you, I will need something a lot more specific in order to know what is happening on your end. Best of luck!

Hi, is there a netcode rollback in gdevelop? If there is not, will they implement it?
@Winstreak1 Жыл бұрын
Since I haven't done any work with multiplayer games, I actually haven't even heard of this till I looked it up due to your comment. Usually, a Google search would pop up something such as a wiki doc on netcode rollback, if they have it implemented. I wasn't able to find anything though. I asked in the Discord, but there's a good chance that the question is hide by other conversations. If I bump into anything I'll post it here - Most likely nothing as of now though.

I still had access to Constructs Paid Version Pixel Editor at the time. Gdevelop has the built in one Piskel which you can use but it's a bit lacking and can be buggy if you are using it inside Gdevelop, but works fine for small quick pixel art Objects.

what kind of programs are you using for creating mario
@Winstreak19 күн бұрын
Are you asking about the image editor I was using? It was Construct's built in editor. Since I used Construct before Gdevelop I still had the paid services which included a pretty decent image editor. I don't mind Piskel but the one inside of Gdevelop is buggy, so for any larger drawings I like to go outside of Gdevelop.

What's the name of the pixel art program you used?
@Winstreak111 ай бұрын
I used Construct3's built in Image creator. Sadly, things like onion skin are locked behind their subscription fee, so I no longer have access to all of it. I have recently purchased Aseprite but I don't have enough experience with it to say if its worth the money. But it's pretty cheap.

@@Idk-t5c3e I would recommend watching some tutorials on free to use editors (I don't have any recommendations, I don't spend enough time on the art side of things to worry about it). There are a lot better options out there. I am not an artist, I just dabble so I don't mind the restrictions of sticking with the built in editors. @@flaqkogames I am not comfortable enough with GDevelop to say for sure but from what I have seen so far. Everything is different, but it's easy to learn. There are a lot more changes than I expected, so I found I had to Google way more random features than I thought I would... BUT I am not learning a new concept, usually just figuring out what GDevelop calls a behavior. I would guess the first game you made in GDeve would take about 2x as long to make. After that you would be mostly familiar.
