Only three minutes in but wanted to say a big thank you for such a great tutorial and for creating so many timestamps. You covered a lot of things other than what’s in the title (which is the norm) but the timestamps makes it easy to get to the information I was looking for. Not sure when I subscribed but I’m turning the bell on. A concise tutorial like this is hard to find. These are the types of uploads that I return to again and again!

Hi! Thank you so much for this tutorial🙏🏼 I have a question, the important thing when drawing is to make the pieces you want the machine to cut in different layers? So when it converts to SVG it would separate it correctly?

great! thanks!! so If only want to make stickers, I don't need to convert it to SVG right?
@AmyMakesThat2 ай бұрын
nope! SVG's are great for vinyl or cardstock projects. You can save the image as a PNG and upload that as a print then cut image into CDS!

Super new to Cricut and your videos have been super helpful! I was curious if you have ever had trouble on your Mac with downloading font families? Any time a zip file has multiple versions of the same font it only imports one into Design Space. I wasn't sure if I am doing something wrong or if this is common. Thanks!

If my memory serves me, you have to install each font in the font family separately (I.e. italics separate from bold separate from regular, etc…) I hope that’s helpful😅☺️

hey! happy to help :) If there are multiple versions (such as .TTF or .OTF) you only need to download one or the other. If you're talking about multiple versions (such as Bold, Italic, Dingbats, etc.) you will have to "double click" and install each font separately! I have several font tutorials explaining how to do so if you need more help!

I made my first stickers awhile ago but now I'm attempting it again and I dont understand whats going on. Whenever i load a design from Procreate to CDS it says "Error, poor image quality, will not print well" I checked the DPI settings on Procreate and i upped it to 300dpi and uploaded it again as a PNG and it still saying the same thing. Can you help me? :/

does it need to be a svg?
@AmyMakesThat3 ай бұрын
Hi! If you’re asking if a file needs to be an SVG in order to upload it to Cricut Design Space, no! You can upload it as a PNG. SVGs are mainly used for multi-layered projects (like vinyl) and make it easier for uploading

The title is kinda misleading. It should be renamed to 'How to Draw Your Own PNG's in Procreate' then convert it using online converter
@AmyMakesThatАй бұрын
You essentially need to draw the single layers first, then convert them in order to create an SVG. We’re still creating SVGs here and I don’t unfortunately have a software like adobe indesign or illustrator to skip the converting part, so this is an alternative!

@@AmyMakesThat There are people like me who were led here because we were researching whether it's possible to draw in vector in Procreate. Your title suggests it is, and hence will likely feel click baity to us and the video a waste of our time. If it's not your intention to attract this wrong audience, I don't see a problem with naming the video more accurately to reflect its actual content.
