Glad that helped you out! If you need to do this a lot, I recommend upgrading to the latest version of PowerPoint which has a much simpler solution with the Fragment tool. You can easily add "Combine Shapes" button to your ribbons and instead of editing a freeform shape, you can get it by getting Intersect... ;)

wisalias Even in PowerPoint 2007? I know you can use the Combine Shape tool in 2010 and later...but I believe 2007 users are stuck with edit points.
