If you're going to do this it's better to deliberately trigger the civil war. If you pass multiculturalism during reconstruction, when reconstruction finishes you get afro-american as a primary culture which lets you incorporate all of Africa in 5 years instead of 20.

For people who want to avoid Civil War and abolish slavery almost immediately, I've found that instantly reforming government to include the Whigs and then moving to a dedicated police force is very effective. The Landowners will start a movement right away to maintain local police force and the 25 percent bonus they get from it, and you can start drafting emancipation by Christmas 1836 with a bit of luck. In my run, I had Slavery abolished in mid 1837 and Multiculturalism by 1840, both without Civil War thanks to the Great Negotiator, President Henry Clay.

The US civil war can actually be kinda useful in victoria 3 since it allows you to make Afro-American a primary culture. In my recent playthrough where I basically did the same thing you did in this video, I triggered a civil war over slavery in 1837 and it was really easy to win. You then get a couple journal entries revolving around reconstruction. In my game, I actually ended up gaining Afro-American as a primary culture, but losing Dixie as a primary culture.

Take Alaska, all of Canada and all the land down to Panama Canal, including Cuba, Haita and the islands around to create the United States of North America(USNA) and than force the Monroe Doctrine and liberate Africa and Asia from Colonies, essientially establishing something as similar to the modern world. That should be interesting to see.

I watched this having already done the same thing with my America game, $5.5 B GDP by 1922 and still growing exponentially. A couple further things I would recommend are switching to council republic as the worker coop mode is much more profitable than publicly traded, which is important because by that stage in the game many states will have a ~£40 average wage and wages will be easily half or more of the cost of input goods. Lots of factories will just shut down and those that don’t are profitable but on a knifes edge. The problem with such a high standard of living and high wages is it effectively causes inflation in the economy, so goods will usually cost well above base price except for things like wheat or rubber which output a lot of goods for relatively little input. Critical throughout the game will be proactively taking oil states. The US starts/naturally ends up with a lot of oil in just the contiguous US and especially if you take Mexico too, but even having taken the Trucial States, Iran, some of Iraq, and most of Africa, my oil prices are still only high enough to switch to the assembly lines, all the trains are still electrified and only some mines are on the diesel pumps (lead since the glass or really porcelain industry is always short on supply).

in 1:35 you say for the US "comunnism but there is private property". to be completely accurate in socialism there are private properties too, you can own goods (phones, a car, food any consumer good). what there are not is private means of production meanwhile in socialdemocracies, there is. in the game this is really well represented through the transformation of all production methods into either state or cooperatives
@Tarkusarkusar2 жыл бұрын
It's meant more as a poke at Americans calling everything communism, but I would also say this depends heavily on your particular interpretation of communism, and socialism. There are forms of socialism/communism which include personal property, and forms of it which do not. It all depends

3:50 if this is a multiplayer game with no UK you can always just cancel the play as well. Yes you owe Texas war reps but that will go away if you manage to diplo annex them. This also burns the offer obligation they used to call the UK in as they still owe the UK the obligation they used despite no war happening. So if you need to do a second war the UK won’t be involved.

Andrew Jackson starts with the Radical ideology, meaning you have enough support to immediately implement the guaranteed liberties law. Combine this with low taxes, high legitimacy government, dedicated police force, and a suppressing the landowners IG, and you can ban slavery without worrying about a revolution. This is even easier if you get the slaver/abolitionist violence event and switch a high clout IG leader to abolitionist. Or faster at least. Conversely, I find conquering Texas to be a waste of infamy. Personally I like to use early infamy to secure Oyo and/or Benin
