One of the lategame issues in victoria 3 is the lack of oil available in the world. Mainly because the AI doesn't build all the resources that they possess.

Love the storytelling style you bring to these videos. Always a pleasure. With regard to all the civil wars, there are two ways to keep that from tying you up indefinitely in an expansive empire: Either annex your puppets and administer them yourself (which as you noted is more work), or make them dominions instead of puppets. This gains you only half the income from conquered territories, but they deal with their own civil wars without taking away your ability to launch diplomatic plays. If you're going to keep someone as a subject for decades on end, I highly recommend going the dominion route instead of puppetting. Puppets should be seen as a stepping stone to annexation.

Ye victoria III after 50 years is so boring. I never played to the 1936. There is like no content in the mid-late game. Also native uprisings make this game unplayable. Why you can't attack someone when some village is trying to resist you with 1k troops

Actually the reason that the uks colonies got independence was through hard struggle not them just abandoning them because for some reason countries rich with natural resources just weren’t profitable to exploit after world war 2

Probably true. I just didn't want the intro to drag too long. Many British former subjects have maintained a pretty close attachment to the mother country, unlike other former colonies, which is why I look at them as somewhat exceptional
