I also use reaper. As soon as I open MT Drum Kit, it asks me if I want to put all of the individual drums onto separate tracks. I click 'yes', and it does it for me. The drums go to the main drum track, but the individual sounds are automatically routed to the different tracks. I don't know why it didn't do the same thing for you.

So when you start up MT each time you have to click that button in the beginning so you can keep using it for free. Or you can donate to it so you don't have to keep clicking it every session. Otherwise you'll have no sound. That's usually the reason why that happens. Hope this helps!

@@daviddahl8562 hmm honestly im not sure. it should be working just by hitting that button to continue for free, so if it still isn't working then it may have to do with something unrelated. at that point its really hard to tell what it is since it could be a huge number of things. wondering if it has to do with the scarlett 2i2 interface? I actually got that one too and was having sound issues for a while till i figured it out. had to do a lot of trial and error stuff and read up on it but eventually got it working. either way I really hope you can figure this out man.

Easy way : go to fx and select the name of the plugin its written like Vst: mt power drumkit with a checkbox with a tick. Now you got it right click it and you will get a dialog box. Select use fx multichain 16 track some setting like that and boom everything will be done for you automatically. Even tracks will be made. You just have to select the out from the plugin. That was the hard way but probably the way you might need to do it in DAWs other than Reaper. In reaper right click in the tracks area and select add new instrumnent track and select the MT Drum Kit. It'll pop up and ask if you want to create a seperate track for each drum. Say yes and it'll make all the tracks for you. Then you just have to go into Mixer and assign the tracks to which drum you want. Also in the new reaper v.7 you now get a folder icon when you drag up instead of the blue line with a part missing. They just use the blue line now for moving tracks not making folders. Also with MT Drum kit. after you save your project and load it back up later your drums won't work until you go into the FX and hit that skip button again, or you can donate $9.00 to remove that.

I liked the video. Perhaps I didn't understand why each chanel has to be in 2 tracks. That's because of stereo?
@ChrisSnyderGuitar3 жыл бұрын
hey Diogo, yup you're right about it being in stereo. so essentially the 2 channels represent the left and right speakers. so if you only had one of them activated you would only hear the sound coming out of 1 speaker, so we activate both sides so we can hear them through both speakers. hope that helps!

Why is it that once you put every drum in its own track, you can't see the individual notes of each track separate so you can edit each note per piece? Like applying reverb to a snare at a certain part and only that part? You can only hear each track and see the meter moving, but not the actual notes?
