I've followed the steps you mentioned, and I'm succesful in creating the clips. My problem is that the clips only seem to be available for me to see. If I share the clip, or post it, my followers only get a message that the content is unavailable. Can you help me with that?

So if you make a clip using the Creator Studio, Then click on your video's 3 ... and go to Edit Post, Then you create a clip in Video Clipping and once you have the clip you click Save. So after you have a clip created how do you make it so not just me the admin can see the clip I want my page to be able to see it. I shared my clip to my page and nothing shows up for other people, I can see it fine but no one else can... please help!

​@@LWCDetroit The way you would clip through facebook is recording at the same bit rate you use for streaming so it doesn't use extra bandwidth hopefully you have an external harddrive they are cheaper at least but that is what I use to make clips, record then clip using whatever service you want. There is already a windows media player so I use that to clip and just trim what I need then upload those.

after I create a clip from a previous live video, it won't let me publish or schedule the clip with the error, "your video couldn't be saved, try saving it again. post already published, sorry, can't publish or schedule and already published post." but that's exactly the point of clips, to repost a small clip from a published post. any ideas what I'm doing wrong here?

hi i have a problem on clipping my live videos it says "error" with "This post didn't save correctly An error prevented this post from saving correctly. There seems to be some issues with Facebook's video editor. I've had issues with trimming clients videos over the last week and a few commenters have mentioned the same problem.

Yeah no. Today is January 1st 2021. When you click on the clip to “edit” to try and get it to be published etc... thats not what happens now. In creator studio, when you click the title of the clip, it will open a new window to Facebook Watch and it wants to simply play the video. Its like once you make the clip you cannot edit it. My issue is, when creating a clip, it will not publish to my page. I see it there. But nobody else sees it. If I share the clip, it comes up acting like the video was removed. But i can CLEARLY see them all and play them just fine. But only me. Everyone else cannot see anything.

Yeah also, heres a doozy for you lol... i just looked in my Watch.... under “latest videos”.... i see the clip i made. It says it was created 51 years ago!! When i hover over that, the date says December 31st 1969 ... i created it yesterday lol 2020. I’m only 40 years of age 😂 whatttttttt is going on????? No wonder people cant see my video? Facebook thinks its 51 years old???

Hi! I stream via facebook (hd 720p) and I wanna download my stream in hd quality and then edit nice moments from my stream to share them in another platform later on. However, when I download the video it turns into a 360p video I am not able to download it in 720 p... never... IDK how can i do that. Videos are more than 2-3 hours by the way. Can you help me?

Hi!! Thanks for watching!! How are you streaming these videos? Direct to through Facebook Live Producer, the phone, third party software? When downloading a stream after the fact from Facebook, they always compress the file a lot. You’ll never get 720p by doing that. The best way to get a higher quality recording is if you are using another software like vMix or Ecamm is to record it directly to your computer while you are streaming or if you are on your phone there should be an option to save it to your camera roll right after you finish streaming. Hope that helps

Nick Palkowski I use OBS Studio for streaming. I understood what you said but I don’t have a lot of memories in my computer. My streams are usually more than 3 hours. Cus They are all about gaming. I need to find a way to download it from Facebook with high quality. Because each video would be nearly or more than 1 GB. And I only have 30 GB left. Anyways thanks for your answer.

@@furkanfrat9546 Sorry didn't see your reply till now. KZbin doesn't do a great job about notifying when new replies come in. First would be to look for an external hard drive to hold the streams after you record or to record directly to them. OBS should allow you to do that. Another option since it seems like you have enough memory to record directly but would not be able to keep them for long would be to upload them to Dropbox or similar so you don't have to hold them on your computer. Lastly you could look into something like Castr.io which would allow you to record directly to the cloud. This would be a paid service so I still think my recommendation would be to get and record to an external hard drive. I do that often for long client streams.

How on Earth is this feature helpful to anyone?!?! So if I'm doing a 20 minute FB LIVE show I have to literally stop and interrupt the class if I say something I want to keep and while everyone's watching I have to say "Hold On, Everybody ! I have to save this clip" + they have to sit there and wait for me to do that before I can resume the show? Who would EVER want to do that + how unprofessional to do that to your people??? And I've tried 5 times to save a clip of an existing FB LIVE I did on Wednesday - the video is 8 minutes long + the part I'm trying to save is in the middle of the class so are you seriously saying you can ONLY save something from of the the last 60 seconds of the LIVE video??? How on Earth is that supposed to be helpful? I must be missing something here - can you please explain how this is supposed to be helpful? Especially if there are multiple clips I'd like to save from the same video??? This almost seems like a joke since FB is saying you can only do 60 second FB LIVES if you ever want to save anything + make a clip of what you said - it's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard...

Hi Stephanie. This might not be a feature for you. Or at least not yet. With some practice it can be a pretty smooth process to click the clips button while reading through comments and questions viewers are leaving. Don't need to title and publish them right away. That can be done after you wrap the stream. It also can be really useful for people with teams where someone other than the on camera talent is clipping sections of the stream. This can be done remotely by anyone who has access to the Live Producer page. Regarding the 60 seconds, that's only while you are live that it takes the last 60 seconds that just happened. That's to help make it easy for people when they are live. After the stream is ended you can take clips from anywhere within the stream.

@@npalkowski Thank you so much for your reply + for sharing in which circumstances you think this feature will be most helpful. I ultimately WAS able to go back + make clips from my finished FB LIVE video, it just wasn't confirming the clip was "saved" at the time. I only got a notification 15-20 minutes afterwards that it was waiting in my clips library. Yours seems to register right away that it was saved so I just assumed mine wasn't working when it was, it was just delayed. Thanks again for your helpful advice + videos - please keep 'em coming!
