Thanks for the video. Two other things that are helpful. First, place a text box around each entire slide and link it back to the same slide, then use Arrange -> order -> move to back. This will prevent random clicks off your buttons from advancing to the next slide. Second, when sharing the link edit the link URL and replace "edit" with "present." This makes the slideshow open in presentation mode for your students.

hey question for the first part. after I do the first thing you said, it undoes itself so when I put it in slideshow mode to test it, I can sill click anywhere to get to the next slide. Do you know why this is?

@@miniwheats-ji7sm hye friend.. i've tried it too.. don't bring to back, but you should arrange your click button and order bring to front, so just 1 button can click, the rest will be back to the same slide.. may this respond help you..

Hey i saw this and am doing a similar thing for school and was curious if you know how to make it so that a button NEEDS to be used, because i dont want people to just, click the screen and it moves when they didnt even pick an option ya know.

So, I'm creating an escape room with Slides, and I use shapes to keep the slides from advancing. But, the very first thing my students did when they tried my beta version was click randomly everywhere. By doing so, it somehow allowed them to advance through the slides. I was able to replicate this by quickly clicking the mouse button and moving over the screen over the different shapes that SHOULD have taken me back to the very same slide I was on (to prevent advancing when clicking the wrong "link"), but it just advanced the slides forward. I'm assuming it is some kind of timing issue that glitches slides. Anyone know how to fix this?

you press the share button next to slideshow, afterwards you wanna set General Access to anyone with the link. Finally, press copy link and send the link to students
