you can, but it would be very difficult, where as tokens are built on coin blockchains like Etherem or NEO, if you wanted to build a coin you would have to design your own blockchain. Tokens are built on top of other blockchains(coins) - much easier.

I'm talking about the possibility that a cryptocurrency could be developed that would raise money for charity. What is so complicated about that? ICO's raise money for developers, some who don't even really develop anything. Dogecoin comes to mind. Bitcoin miners charge a fee, as well as exchanges. Could not a crypto, or even an exchange be developed to raise money for charity? There are a million ways to think of this. All I'm doing is promoting the idea that something could be created in the crypto world that could raise funds for charity, instead of just making developers extremely wealthy. I'm not against them being wealthy, I just think we need to remember the poor.
