Hi Naomi: I have no idea. I rarely use Illustrator. If I can't do something in InDesign, I"ll go to Photoshop so I'm not the best person to ask. But Teela Cunningham has some great videos on her channel that cover how to do this in Illustrator. Hope that helps! XOXO Lisa

As someone that's taking an Adobe Illustrator class in my current college semester, I'd say it's a good place to create vectorized images and lettering/fonts (especially if they're minimalistic, though that's just my outlook since I'm still new to the software)!

Indesign is more for layouts and photoshop or illustrator is for the actual design. That said, if your designs are simple, you can do the whole thing in Indesign. It’s possible in illustrator but would be a LOT more work unless every page looks the same
