Hi, great video and great job. I was wondering would you have a list of parts that you used? I'm not sure what the bolts etc you used to get a flush finish on one end?

Hi, wondering if you can tell me the hardware you used. You said the threaded pan head, but wondering what was the sleeve part that you were able to tighten the cable with is? and the hardware that is on the post opposite the pan head, that you crimped what is that called? thanks so much!

The bolts that looked to be Allen wrenches that you tightened the tension with, what is the name of those ? Sort of like a turnbuckle

Matt Ernest ya, what are those???
@DIYMadeEasy3 жыл бұрын
@@1966cambo The stainless steel fitting your talking about is called a Hex Head Tensioner M6.

Is there is a alternative to crimp the work without the expensive hydraulic press?
@ScorpionRegent7 жыл бұрын
I know about using Unbolts, they look tacky and it's not crimped. It's possible to crimp things with a sledge hammer, but you wouldn't get that machine pressed look. I'd rather not go to a equipment rental and pay through the nose. If I ever do that sort of thing I'll fabricate a crimping gig using a bottle jack.

What is the diameter size of the wire 1/8, 3/16, or something else?
@RAJsWork6 жыл бұрын
DIY Made Easy much obliged for the reply.

@@RAJsWork Hi, yes the wire diameter is 3/16 (4.78mm).

Why not use wire cutters ?
@DIYMadeEasy5 жыл бұрын
It's easier and quicker to use the grinder. If you use the cutters, you will find it harder to cut, and there is a greater chance of fraying the cable, which will make it harder to insert into the stainless steel fitting. I don't have that large size steel wire cutter.

Yeah nice ! But I'm used to wire fence around animals not on my porch used for my family !!!

I didn't have it either. When I purchased all my stainless steel fittings, I just hired it from the shop.

@@DIYMadeEasy My comment was not to downplay some of the good tips you provided such as how to cut the steel rope. So thanks! 👍
