hi. i want to say thank you very much for this tutorial. I had watched and tried to make many book sleeve; from very simple and basic one until this one. But all of them end up failure (even the basic one). I had to reopen (I'm not sure whats the right term) and remake them over and over again until my yarn was damage but still end up failing (either it didn't end up looking good or i didn't finish it because too many mistake and it didn't look good in the process). but this one was so good. i still end up reopen because I made a mistake but one second try, I manage to do it till finish! Because of your method, both inside and outside were very neat. i love it very much and Im so happy that i want to make this over and over again with different colors (even though I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them later). So, I'm going to say, thank you very much for the tutorial and sharing this. It means so much to me. thank you.

4:03 You switch colors. First you do your color A, the one you started with. Then 1 cluster of the new color. Then a cluster A , them the new color. So you get a mix. When you finish te row. You do the round with the new color.

hi!! you said in the video that on the last stitch of the first row in the foundation chain, we can just make 2 clusters, so i did. but then since the colors are alternated, the last cluster in the second row ends up the same color as my first cluster, so it's messed up. maybe you should've just said to make 3 clusters so that the colors will stay alternated throughout the end.

hi.. sorry for late response, i just saw your comment, i think the mess up is coming from your foundation chains.. you can adjust your foundation chains by removing/adding 4 chains, so the alternate colors will be even.. :) *the 2 or 3 clusters in the first and last row are the increase part, and that depends on the book width.. i hope it helps.. 💕

what if the book size is 8 inches in length and 6 inches in width. how many chains should i make in the first step?

hi, you can do multiple chains of 4, until you have 8 inches long chains, then add 1 chain at the end

hi, a cluster is a multiple DCs together in one stitch, it can be 3DC, 4DC, or 5DC

I loved the book sleeve, however the tutorial is pretty confusing. The writing of the stitches are very confusing and kinda hard to follow. Not trying to be mean, just constructive criticism
