Thank you for this pattern. I wasn't sure that I wanted a roll, but now I love It. I just completed my case and I am so happy. I made mine in a medium tyme green and pumpkin orange. I embellished it with a little crochet pumpkin applique. The little fans in the color B were done in the pumpkin color and look like little pumpkins. So perfect for fall. Just what I wanted. I am thinking of making one in Christmas colors for the Holidays. Thanks again. I love my case/roll!

The shell pattern for the pockets is multiple of 6 plus 1. You will want to keep that in mind when adding additional chains to your project.

So I’m a little confused. With the half double crochets on the first part are we going around the whole project for 20 rows or are we only doing one side in half double crochet for the rest of the project?

Ch2 is the turning chain. It doesn’t count as stitch. I find that using a ch 1 for hdc can make it difficult to find the first stitch, however if you are more comfortable using ch 1, I don’t think it will change the over finished project significantly.

My suggestion would be add the number of chains to the starting chain to accommodate the additional number of pockets needed. Don’t forget add the same number of chains to the back panel.

I used about 2 oz of Red Heart Super Saver so roughly 175 yards which going by the yarn label that would work out to about 56 grams. You may want to have 58/60 grams of worsted weight yarn to be on the safe side.

Ochaco Uraraka You could try moving up a hook size to increase the overall size of the case to accommodate more hooks. Or adjust your starting chains to make the case wider so more pockets can be added.
