For those asking what DK weight yarn is, I looked it up because I'm a beginner and wanted to know as well. "DK or Double Knitting This is a term that originated in Britain and is used by all types of manufacturers. It refers to a yarn size very close to a sport weight, but slightly heavier. The gauge is about 5 1/2 stitches per inch and is usually knit on a U.S. 6 needle."

I've had these videos put in my Watch Later, hoping someone I knew who was having a baby girl. I think I made everyone of these during the covid lock down. Thank God for babies.

This was my 2nd try at working baby clothing. 1st go at a romper. And it went beautifully. (It may have gone better if I knew how big babies are... but from what I looked up, it should fit pretty well! Such a pretty outfit, such easy instruction. Only thing I had trouble with was figuring out whether i was supposed to be working towards the front or back, and at what point. But out of an entire video, its hardly a big deal as I figured it out along the way! I am BEYOND grateful for your hard work in making such a great video and great romper! Thank you SO much! I am definitely a new fan and supporter! Much love.

I made this beautiful romper. Such an easy to follow video. Thankyou! I was making the 6-12 month size and it turned out smaller than a newborn size 😅.. found out my tension is super tight whereas she lifts her holden loop a bit. I saved it by making it into a newborn top instead and it still super cute 😃

I'm confused! At 34:00 are you working BLO? And is it just for the 24 stitches or is it also the 2 at the beginning? Super fun pattern!! Thank you :)
@chelseac.32465 ай бұрын
I am also confused on that part, did anyone ever find out? Also, what about when you finish the body part? Do you just slip stitch then cut the yarn? I’m confused 😅
@jenniferlara13867 жыл бұрын
Firstly, I have made many of your projects. I have also altered patterns (such as the girls party dress) to fit my newborn (well she'll be born next month). As usual I got really excited when you uploaded this video however I'm confused as to how I would get my daughter in and out of the romper the way you made it in the tutorial. I heard you say 'you can add buttons' but I just figured I'd ask. Thank you for all the work you've uploaded. You have brought crochet back into my life and it's better than a therapist! It helps me sleep well, I feel like I have so much more patience.
@ButterflysAndStitches7 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing but right at the end she mentions the button at the to do maybe it is wide enough to slip on but. with nappy changes it would probably be a pain to slip on and off but you could add the little pop clips or very small buttons because it may catch on tiny chubby legs
@Ambaa4367 жыл бұрын
Jennifer Pardo at the end instead of sewing it like she did say you can also add popper buttons this is what I did for easy nappy changes otherwise at the start join at a lower row
@woolywonderscrochet75867 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Instead on joining, you could simply add some popper snaps to each side or add some small buttons to one side and use the spaces between the stitches on the opposite side as button holes. You could do a round of 1dc into each stitch on each side before you fasten off and then add poppers/buttons. Hope this helps x

Wonderful tutorial! I subscribed because of how thorough you are! :) by chance do you know if I would go Down to a 4.0mm hook or a 3.5mm hook if I were to use a size 4 (light worsted weight) yarn. Current want to use a cotton yarn in a 4 weight size. I didn’t see a gauge mention so I couldn’t calculate on my own :(

I am not sure why but I did round seven and for some reason I’m coming up short. I did the double crochets together and the 4 double crochet pattern. I did the 4 for the half back, then counted the 30 stitches and knit into the 31st. I did 8 sets again. Skipped the 30 stiches again, and then I end up with only 3 sets of the pattern of 2 double crotchets together plus the 4 double crochets. I have redone it and recounted everything twice already but I keep coming up short! Any idea what could be wrong? Thanks so much!

I love this pattern. I made the romper in under 2 hours. The only thing I would say is that you repeat the instructions too many times. You say it, repeat it step by step, repeat it again, physically do it multiple times and then repeat it again. I stick with it because your patterns are just too cute!! I'll be a loyal subscriber for that reason alone!! 😁🐾💞🐶 BTW, I'm a dog breeder and would love if you could please do a version of some of your infant rompers and dress for dogs, I would be ECSTATIC!!

I can’t find my 4.5 anywhere 😢 but I’m anxious so Im using a 4. Is that going to be premature size!??
@leewh19895 жыл бұрын
Hi, I’ve just made a start on this today. I got to row 6 and everything seemed to go ok. When I got to the row where you add the arms it all went wrong. I did 4 at the back, left ch30, 8 for the front, ch30 but when I should have only had a small gap at the back for another 4 I didn’t, it was a huge gap of about 8 or 9. How many ‘shells’ do you have in row 6 as I have 30. Can anyone see where I may have gone wrong?
@kimaelani5 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you ever got an answer ... but, you might've had an extra stitch or 2 which left you with all those stitches at the end. You could undo that row, count your total stitches and try to divide them up to match ... i.e. by what you wrote, looks like you have 72 stitches. Might want to dbl crochet 4, skip 30, continue with the dbltog/4dbl crochet pattern starting at thr 31st stitch, however, do only 6 instead of 8 and finally 4dbl crochet. Otherwise ... go back the last couple rows to make sure you've got the same number as the video ....
