Gorgeous bag, and cat! Cats and crochet are not always a great mix. I have a young cat who takes great delight in stealing yarn whenever he can! His big brother likes to chew on my yarn when I’m crocheting.

@@stitchizbyliz I used two different shades of blue and a yellow and black sunflower in the middle. I also made adjustable straps so it can be a backpack or over the shoulder.

What happens to the bag if you don’t use the 2 sheets of fabric? I just started crocheting, and I don’t have fabrics because I don’t sew, can I still make the bag?

I'm so sorry for the late response! If you crochet instead of sew you will have a bumpy edge I'd assume. I haven't tried it but if you do I'd suggest letting the bumpy edge be the ugly side of the backpack

The little squares may not fit unless you did some adjusting on them and the straps may be too long but you can adjust that also. Also instead of doing squares you can just do a 10in chain then do single or half double crochet is until you meet the west of your expectations for the backpack! If that makes any sense

For 1 backpack I believe I only needed 1 skein for each color! Wouldn't hurt to maybe grab 2 for the main color tho!
