Thankyou for the best explanation of doing the knit like stitch or waistcoat. Been trying to learn this for over a month. Yours was one of the easiest ways to do it. Thabkyou.

I was just about to give up on ever using this stitch. But when you showed how you used your hook on the crochet hook to grab the side of the yarn and push it through, Voila, it finally worked! Thank you so much!

Hi Jessica one of the things that I like the most about the stitches not only does it look great but it looks the same on both sides.

Thank you for your video instruction for the "Knit Like Stitch". It was very clear and easy to see. Great job!

The placing of the crochet hook looks familiar. I believe the actual name of this stitch is the Waistcoat Stitch if anyone was wondering. It makes a really nice, dense and study fabric. Perfect for baskets and I would imagine pot holders.

I love your videos.... I've just watched three in a row. I think you're a great teacher with the details you provide, the pace at which you work, and how clear your instructions are. I just have one request or suggestion: in the videos I've watched, you're using white or light pink yarn on a white background so it's not very easy to see what you're doing or what the stitches look like because of the lack of contrast. The work blends into your background. I would suggest using a dark background with the light yarn or keep the lighter background and use a little darker yarn. Thanks so much for sharing your skills and knowledge! I am definitely a new fan! xoxo

Would that be the linen/moss/granite stitch? If you go into the "window" instead of the V, then you get a slightly different design...➰

You should use darker color yarn which can contrast with your white background.
