How to crochet a lace top baby cardigan / sweater - the Rosie cardigan

This tutorial will show you how to crochet a baby / little girl’s pretty cardigan. This tutorial is suitable for beginners.
Correction: You should have 119 stitches at the end of round 10, not 112 as stated in the tutorial.
For size 0 - 6 months use a 3.5mm crochet hook
For size 6 - 12 months use a 4mm crochet hook
For size 1 - 2 years use a 4.5mm crochet hook
For my dress I used a 4mm crochet hook and Drops Lima yarn (DK weight). Please use DK weight yarn in order to get the correct size.

Thank you for this tutorial, I have made it with cotton yarn for the summer for my granddaughter. Because I used cotton the length needed to be longer so 16 rows from under the arm, 10 seemed quite short. I finished the edging with single crochet up the front, around the neck and bottom. I’ve made a couple of your projects and they have always turned out fantastic. This one, for the life of me I cannot get it to work. Once I get to the first round of V stitch, my stitch count keeps blowing out so that my shell row has about 300 stitches. I’ve repeatedly undone it and carefully watched what you are doing…..but nope, can’t get it right. Without stitch numbers mentioned after the V stitch and shell stitch rows, I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong. Disappointed I can’t get it right 😢

I'm so confused, my first row was 63 St. Then the second row is 1dc then 2dc till the end which is approx 92 or 93 dc at end of row but you state it should be 84dc,. I've done it 3 times and done the math and it just isn't right, how do I correct this please?

Vijayalakshmi Balaji the Drops Lima is a wool, and alpaca blend. I think any DK weight would work though.
