Thank you for this tutorial, I have made it with cotton yarn for the summer for my granddaughter. Because I used cotton the length needed to be longer so 16 rows from under the arm, 10 seemed quite short. I finished the edging with single crochet up the front, around the neck and bottom. I’m really pleased with how it’s finished. Thank you.

I’ve made a couple of your projects and they have always turned out fantastic. This one, for the life of me I cannot get it to work. Once I get to the first round of V stitch, my stitch count keeps blowing out so that my shell row has about 300 stitches. I’ve repeatedly undone it and carefully watched what you are doing…..but nope, can’t get it right. Without stitch numbers mentioned after the V stitch and shell stitch rows, I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong. Disappointed I can’t get it right 😢

Vijayalakshmi Balaji the Drops Lima is a wool, and alpaca blend. I think any DK weight would work though.

I had the same question. I was going crazy counting the dc over and over and getting 112. Now it makes sense I had to count all the stitches and now I do get the 119. Lol
