@galerenouf26255 ай бұрын
@diamond3170 hey, so it actually does show the count. Each numbered row counts as one stitch space that you will work into(1. Is the first stitch you're working into, 2. Is the second, so on) and each stitch will contain two stitches. So, for example, number 2 says "sc hdc," so in that second stitch space of your moon, you will work one single crochet and one half double crochet. If that makes sense lol I'm bad at explaining 😅

@@girlovecupcake Hi there. It sounds like when you start working with the background yarn after making the moon you are skipping over the slip stitch (first stitch made when making the moon) and instead working a slip stitch into the top of the single crochet (second stitch made when making the moon)...have I got this right? If so, you want to make sure that when you start with the background yarn that you slip stitch into the top of the first slip stitch of the moon. Then you will either chain 3 or do an alternate standing double crochet. In the next stitch (the top of the single crochet of the moon) you will do the extended double crochet. This should also fix the problem you are having when you get round to the other side of the moon....just make sure you work into the top of both slipped stitches at the start and end of the moon. Does this make sense?

It feels like the counts don't work out. If the moon is started with a slst after the st you finished the first colour in, then when you slst the starting colour into the first sc of the moon, you're skipping 2 stitches. Also by the end, my trc ch trc is happening in the last SC of the moon, (not the third to last hdc st which it'd have to be to have the DC land on the last moon st) then there's only 7 sts betweeb the two corners. So, the two missing we slst over at the start?? I've managed to work it out in my own way bu not doing any slsts in the moon but if anyone else understands/could make it make sense I'd appreciate it

Hello! You could just put the square on the diagonal, but it depends what position you want the moon to be in. If you want the moon to stay in the same position, but the background around it is diagonal (I hope that makes sense) you will need to start the background round (after the moon) with a dc, hdc, hdc, hdc, dc, dc, edc, 2tc ch2, 2tc (so that corner will be on the top of the moon) then continue with the standard pattern.
