How to Crochet a Pumpkin Pie Slice (that's also a tissue holder!)

Here's my weird twist on a crocheted slice of pumpkin pie! Happyp Thanksgiving! (Gezsundheit!)

1st-time visitor, as I stumbled upon your channel searching for something else. Cute idea for Christmas tree a coffee shop is decorating to be raffles off for families hurting financially. I always get confused unless it is specifically stated: when you just start the first side and chain on, do you sc into that very first stitch where you did a chain 1? Thank you for any help.
