I love this pattern and have started with the dishcloths, but for the towel how many rows did you do between the last colored stitch and the next set of color changes. There were quite a few so I was wondering how many?
@shirleylitton88782 жыл бұрын
Does it matter whether the cotton is mercerized or not? I have six rows completed and decided to dry a plate with it. It did not do very well. I'm wondering if the cotton type makes a difference, and also whether maybe I just need to make my stitching tighter. It's a little loose! 🤷

I love this dish towel/dish cloth set. I'm new to crocheting with cotton and have read on some blogs that the dye in cotton yarns can bleed. Did you find that the cotton yarns that you used bled into one another... i.e. the blue bleeding into the white? If so, does anyone know how to prevent that from happening?
@CrochetinwithAlana4 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan. No I haven't had that problem before with cotton. I have had it happen with T-shirt yarn. Although it wouldn't surprise me if it did with cotton. I wonder if a little of that Clorox color boost stuff would work. It's supposed to keep colors from bleeding in the wash.

I have a couple questions. Do you happen to have a written pattern for this? And if I am unable to find a cone (I have a request for a red and gold set), how many skeins of each of each for say 2 towels (only no dish cloths)? Thank you!!
@CrochetinwithAlana2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bethany. The link to the written pattern is the link to my etsy shop in the description box and a cone is 743 yards, so I would say all of that plus maybe another 200 yards of your main color and 4 skeins of your secondary color for the 2 towels. I'm adding a little extra just to be on the safe side. Lol. 😊

Several people have asked how many White Rows did YOU crochet for the Dish Towel and I don't believe I saw YOU answer THAT question, so I am going to ask again HOW MANY WHITE ROWS BETWEEN THE BORDERS OF THE DISH TOWEL!! I have already started mine and I'm done with the border, now working on the Middle section but I hope YOU will let US know the Number of While Rows BEFORE I get to the other border?? Thanks and I really like the size of this Towel because all the other ones I have made are NOT very wide and I like my towels to be on the wider size, so your pattern is perfect for ME! Found your page as I was scrolling UTube trying to find Dishtowel patterns!
