My favorite bootie pattern! I've made dozens. Thank you! I've used 4wt yarn mostly and hooks from 4mm to 6mm for various sizes. The pattern is very versatile. Sometimes I don't do the three top rows in the third loop when the booties are really small or the yarn is difficult. Sometimes just do back loop rows, or even front post crochets.

These are the BEST little symmetrical booties I have found! I don’t know why I never thought of slip stitching over to make it even with the sole before continuing on! I will be incorporating that into every bootie I do from now on!😊🙏❤️

I made a pair of these using #4 weight yarn and a 5mm hook (I did not have any suitable chunky weight yarn). The booties came out in a newborn size..very cute. TFS

Chastidee Hudson Did you try it yet? I just used Caron with H hook and it came out super tiny, only 2.5” sole; and it was very hard accessing the 3rd loop of sc in last few rounds.

I think if you don't have chunky yarn you could use two strands of number 4 Wasted yarn = to chunky yarn

Sometimes KZbin drives me crazy! I searched and searched for baby bootie patterns for 2 days. Finally had to settle on one i really didn't want and tweak the pattern to get it to look like I wanted. My husband's little brother just had a premie boy and they're already talking about taking him hunting. I needed a nice boot which will be dark green and a simple toboggan in hunter orange. These tiny boots are exactly what I wanted! Albeit now they're getting more than one pair 😂

Such cute booties and easy to make. If you're a beginner like me, the first stitch goes in the same stitch you make your slip stitch. I was confused why I had one less stitch than she did until she pointed this out in row 6. Thanks for the video!
