Ty so much for sharing! I had to frog a few times for the size I wanted, but FINALLY worked it out. I doubled a 3 weight and used a size 4 hook. The result was a warm & chunky boot, about 6-12 months! It’s perfect!

Yes you can use cotton thread but I must say I think it will be a little small. I suggest 2.50mm hooks for cotton thread

Go up in hook sizes. A 6mm hook fits a 3 yr old.
