Nice and easy adaptable case thank you for sharing, I like how you crochet over the pieces so they don't have to be sewn in that's an advantage 😊

The case is nice. But the tip for picking up your hook again? That the working yarn should be coming over the front? That just changed my crochet life! Thank you!
@tracyvision2 жыл бұрын
I can’t tell you how many times in the last month or whatever since I saw this video that I’ve used the tip that the working yarn comes over the front. I’ve been crocheting like a crazy woman for the past two years and that simple fact never occurred to me. Life. Changing. Thank you!

I'm in the market to buy some new crochet hooks. I am a beginner and wanted to try different hooks. I was looking at the Furls your using. Would you reccomend that for a beginner? I was also looking at a Boye hook. I have been using Susan Bates. I'm having a little trouble with consistent gauge and didn't know if changing my hook would help so I thought I might try ordering a couple different brands. Do you have any suggestions?
@mooglyblog6 жыл бұрын
I think this one is very good for beginners! :) It's their most affordable model, with all the same ergonomic benefits. As for consistency of gauge, that's part hook, and part practice, but Furls hooks do have more consistent stitches as part of their benefits list!

Is there a purpose with the blocking? does it always have to be done?
@mooglyblog6 жыл бұрын
Not always - but it settles the stitches and helps things keep their shape. It just depends on the project! :)

I would live to try this but can't find those snaps here (I'm not in the U.S) I'd rather use a snap than a button so could I use any snap?

Yes, you can use whatever is available to you! :)

Quick question: Is there a benefit to crocheting into the back bump of the chain? I know you said it's a preference but I'm curious. Thanks!
@michelleperez84216 жыл бұрын
Melanie Merkle the edge looks nicer...in this case you can find the edge quicker to sc through it for the edging
@melaniemerkle74096 жыл бұрын
That's good to know....thanks! I actually asked the question before she got to that part. Makes sense.
@mooglyblog6 жыл бұрын
Yep, it's just a nicer finished edge - and easier to crochet into when making an edging! It seems to be better connected this way, at least visually. :)
