If you grab a larger crochet hook and use that to help pull the loops through when making the know, it will save your fingers. Much easier

Thank you. Great instructions. If you would like a less bulky knot on your fringe border, you could tie a slip knot in the loop. Wrap one side of the loop around your finger and bring through a loop.

I wanted a different border for my SIL's blanket. I think I'll try the tied loop border at the ends of the blanket only. I'll put a plain border on the sides. I thought of tassels but wasn't sold on them. This border might be the one. Thank you for the choices.
