Hi 👋 my name is Sara welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet my fluffy cotton candy crochet stitch. It’s fast and easy perfect for making crochet baby blankets, scarfs, sweaters, cardigans, dresses, baby afghans, crochet hats and so much more.
For the tutorial I used medium #4 yarn with a 5mm Crochet hook. You can use any type of yarn as long as you use the recommended crochet hook size. The stitch multiple is 3.
To make a blanket: With a 4.5mm hook and #3 baby yarn make 141 chains. If you want it bigger add chains in increments of 9. If you want it smaller then take chains off in groups of 3. Continue for about 42 rows or until you have the size you want or until it looks square. Finish your blanket with a border of your choice. Here’s a beautiful and easy border that I recommend for this stitch • Easy Crochet border fo...

This is such a beautiful stitch for a baby blanket! I was searching for hours looking for the perfect stitch, and i'm so glad I went with this one! Its coming out perfect! I am always worried the stitch I choose will be rough and tight, but this one is perfect. Its puffy and fluffy, just like cotton candy clouds! Thank you so much!

Great video !! I would like to use bernat blanket for this. Not sure so I would like to make something clear. You posted its a multiple of 3 and if I would want the blanket larger, make it incriments of 10. Do I still add 3 at the end of the chain and come in 3 when starting my chain ? Also, 3 is not an even number but 10 is. I would like to be clear before I start my blanket. Is there anyone who has crocheted this blanket for a larger size. Thank you for your help !!

i have a question. I need to make about 7 hats for christmas. I thought for a soft yarn, instead of using RH super saver or carons lb yarn, I would try the Lions pound of love yarn. My question is, is that pound of love yarn a lot softer and good to use for hats? I have never used it and my hats usually come stiff with the other economy yarns
@CrochetForBaby
@CrochetForBaby 4 жыл бұрын
Yes it’s very soft. What I do when I use economy yarn is wash the item first with a little fabric softener and that helps make it nice and soft. Just make sure to put your items inside a lingerie bag.
