I love watching you work and your amigurumi are just spectacular! I have to say though.... I am amazed at watching you knit with metal dpn's. I have been knitting and crocheting for years and ALWAYS prefer to work with smooth metal, however, I find that metal dpn's always slip out when i least expect or want that to happen and so I have resolved to work with bamboo dpn's. The only thing I see that I do differently than you is that I am a European knitter and not an English knitter. So... maybe it has to do with how I hold my work. Anyway, thank you so much for this video... I have never done duplicate stitches before and at first glance thought that you had done color work on that tiny sweater. I love that new technique and can't wait to try it out. It would be perfect for baby sweaters. ❤❤

I can only hope & pray to be half as good as you someday. I learned to crochet about 6 months ago. My goal was amigurumi but that didn’t work out for me so I’ve made SO many baby blankets & throws😬 This video inspires me to try again. Such an adorable sweet little duck.

I didn't attempt amigurumi until I had been crocheting for over a year. And my first toy was very wonky!!! 😂 I promise you'll get there with time and a lot of practice! 🧶❤️🦆
@forest_maiden7 ай бұрын
@jamiemiesler322 I learned with Amigurumi! I know they’re expensive (and even more expensive for me being Canadian) but I learned with the Woobles kits!! I did two and am now onto bigger projects, but some people keep on going making all the different Woobles before moving on. They come with everything you need but really the video tutorials themselves are priceless as they teach you every single thing in tiny little videos. I had never picked up a crochet hook in my life and now have a cute little penguin, and a chick, and I can do a magic circle and all the basic stitches! And I can also read a pattern. I am currently making a large bunny (for my mom)!

Hi Elise, the duck is so adorable! It is going to be my next project for sure. I especially love the sweater with the lobster motif! :). What a great video. I just finished my latest project a circus elephant with balloons. Elise!!! I have a question! Have you seen the claims that yarning under to create an X rather than yarning over to create a V is a cleaner and tighter way to create amigurumi?
