Hey folks. I just made all the flower circles as individuals and then used sewing thread to tie them together and it looks amazing. You don't see the thread and it is easier than dealing with the slip-stitch since 'from my experience' it doesn't lay correctly all the time on each side. Thus my opinion. Don't get hung up on the size of the needle. I always work with a size I like. I'm using a 'G' size needle which is 4.25mm. No issues. Making the circles from this video is actually very easy, just give up on the slip-stitching them together (again in my opinion). I want perfect circles. I just tied them together after (on the back side). You can't see the thread and my circles are all flat / even the way I like them. I would have personally not have said 'double triple' crochet 18 around the ring. It is actually 'quadruple' 18 times in-side the ring. That is the reason she is wrapping the yarn around the needle three full times instead of two times (which would be a triple crochet). Just trying to help. I failed because I wanted it look perfect so I gave up on the slip-stitching part and just tied them together. I didn't like how they laid with the slip stitch (personal preference). Now all my flowers look even and flat. And of course she doesn't tell you when to stop and connect the slip stiches clearly which makes is complicated when you need to count. Thus another reason I personally didn't like the slip stitch. Sewing them together looks amazing. Use any size needle - you'll get bigger flowers with a bigger needle. All my personal opinion. Thank you. To understand row two you need to watch a youtube video on how to do a 'double-crochet cluster'. That is the correct way to complete the stitch that is described. Double Crochet Cluster. You are 'not' doing 2 double crochets in the next two loops, you are doing a double-crochet cluster (using the two loops) which is different. Watch a youtube video to understand a double-crochet cluster.

marinella marifu6a, I just wanted to say thank you for your video; I think that ya did an excellent job in your demonstration video, and I am very appreciative of the time you lent us all to learn this very fine project. Good job Ms. Lady! I think some people may just have a different learning-style habit on here; some learn visually, while others learn audibly, & some learn via the tactile/hands-on method... and, then even still, for some ppl, its a mix of 2, or even all 3, of these learning bents. Diversity is beautiful! 😁 However, if the ppl trying to learn something new, do not have a strong foundation in the basics of a subject, and also do not maintain their skills, or keep calm & focused, & learn to better control their emotions & anxieties, when it comes to learning something new; well, we're bound to witness their negative experiences, or hear an earful from them; causing all involved a good portion of frustration, and possibly even other negative feelings, such as anger and criticism, etc. Please respect ppl who take their time & pains, and make sacrifices of their own, when they are generous enough to expend their time & resources to teach others something new! Please show some gratitude, and save the energy you expend in criticism; take your own time and pains in learning more when it comes to introducing yourself to new experiences, ppl, projects, topics, & subjects. If you're getting overwhelmed, walk away from what you're doing; calm yourself down, then return to the task at hand. The great thing about videos, is that you're able to watch them as often as you like! TRY to be flexible, and open to allowing yourself to learn via new/different, various learning method styles. Youll be surprised how much more you learn, & how much you have been missing! Remember: "Anything worth learning presents challenges "; & you need to exercise your minds, just as much as you do your bodies ! #STAYCEREBRAL ALSO: "Its DEFINITELY a poor workman, or workwoman, whom blames his or her tools!" *(A teacher is the key tool in learning...)! Finally: "Its usually the operator, not tool(s), teacher(s), or machine(s); that are to blame for poor quality work". *My words may seem "harsh" to some of you; but, if you stop playing the blame-game, criticizing, & complaining, and truly take heed to my words; you WILL INDEED, discover that you can & will learn anything, no matter the teaching method applied. "You CAN DO ANYTHING YOU SET YOUR MINDS TO!" & "SUCCESS REQUIRES PERSISTENCE, DETERMINATION, AND MINDFULNESS "! In sum: TIME & PAINS, ppl. #Nowgetbacktowork !!!!

Thank you for the very well presented visual ..I taught myself to crochet at 16 because my dream was to be able to make complicated thread doilies.I kept on working at it,working with yarn and stitches( with help from my mother in law later) and 45 years later I have it down pretty well.The only thing I need to watch again and see is the space count where you attach them together.It doesn't look quite right on a couple of your macarons but it's probably me..I don't see why you couldn't add an extra DTr to make it come out even if needed.

This blanket is so cute, quaint, & darling! I love the choices of colors; so spring-timey, & Easter-appropriate! 😊 It'd be neat & nice to make one of these blankets, to "color-coordinate" one for every season of the year, & major holidays; for a lil something special for the back of the sofa &/or recliner(s), etc. I think little touches like this are not only practical, (especially in the cold months); but, they also can mqke a home cozier, etc. - if done RIGHT, and one's home does not become too cluttered, and the decor is not over-done, to the point of being gaudy. Plus, little homemade touches like this make a family, and any visitors, feel as though one's home is cozy, comfortable, laid back, & lived-in... like the home is a safe haven, a sanctuary. It also creates fond memories for children, other loved ones, & friends... something tangible like a homemade blanket, offers a wealth of warm memories for years to come for everyone,that can be clung to, once a dear soul has passed on... its a true gift, & the best besides exchanged photos, & mail, etc. Plus, you get the added bonus of "bragging", lol, abt what you have made yourself, & being showered w/ praise over your wonderfully honed skills, & lovely projects! 😉

- Chain 5, slip stitch to form a ring. - Chain 5 + 17 double treble stitches in the ring. - Slip stitch to join. - dec (yarn over, insert and pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops, yarn over, insert into next stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through all 3 loops on the hook) Repeat till the end. You can join them later but it will be time consuming and tedious. Hook size doesn't overly matter as long as your hook compliments your yarn (eg. DK weight yarn, 4mm- 5mm hook) keep in mind that the bigger the hook, the looser your stitch will be unless you're using a thicker yarn as well.

Some people learn certain ways I get that. I’m an advanced crocheter and she made my eyes cross. Maybe this will help. If you would like to make this practice making a yoyo from a more detailed tutorial. I didn’t ‘count’ where she slip stitched together but I’d imagine random works, my OCD would require 16 or 20 stitches and then count it like a clock at stitch 4-8-12-16 or 5-10-15-20 (3oclock 6oclock etc) You are effectively making a ball. If you placed a ping pong ball in the center you would have crocheted around it... also when she writes (2double crochet in the next two spaces with one top) or however she put it what she means is work a double crochet decrease or crochet next two stitches together... (you work half a double crochet and then start the second double crochet and finish them together) Also she cuts her tails really short that guarantees your stitches will come undone. Hopefully this helps.

Yvon van der Eiburg, if you look closely you will see that my reply was saying exactly that. I am not the original poster. That was Meme Smith. I said, "you get the back instructions after she attaches it to the others." The way the video is done, you think you're watching her make the first motif, then suddenly she is attaching it to something, which throws you off until you realize you're going to get the rest of the information at the end of the video.

Kim Faulk I think it’s for those who really learn how to crochet with instructions Now they are looking for a pattern.
@nicolec47445 жыл бұрын
The instructions on the screen make absolutely no sense at all, and I've been crocheting for years lol. All she is doing for row 2 (after chaining 3) is double crocheting 2 together all the way around. As far as connecting the circles to eachother, all you do is put your hook through stitches on BOTH circles at certain points, and then just crochet normally as if you hadn't done it at all. For a beginner, it may be easier to just skip that part entirely and sew your circles together once you've made them all. It will take more time obviously, but it will be less daunting than fumbling around with 2 at once. I would actually do that myself, too. I hope that helps😊

I don’t understand how we go from a row of 3. “Petals” to a whole flower. This isn’t explained 😡
@musicangeltx5 жыл бұрын
Were you asking how to attach multiple "units"? or How to close up one unit? slip stitch to attach multiple units (although this will need some plan-ahead I imagine, to eliminate end up sewing them together); To close up one unit, you basically do double crochet decrease, 2 DC joint together. So since there are 18 DTR on the first row (or 2nd if you count the chain circle), you will do 9 DC on the 2nd row (or 3rd). Hope this helps!

This video is absolutely horrible. Starting right at the beginning. Her work will come undone. You should never leave a tail that short at the beginning and end. Many mistakes throughout the entire video. The pattern was not writing correctly. She was not working in rows, it was rnds. Plus those damn nails were distracting and ugly.
