I absolutely love what you're doing. I live in a nursing home and to keep myself busy I crochet as much as I can and that gives me a project that's going to keep me busy for quite some time. I'm going to be leaving the nursing home and back on my own very soon and I'm going to make one to go on top of my bed as a bedspread, that is going to look great with multicolored blues. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I was travelling from Scotland to the US and then flying around the US. My suitcases are very nondescript as hubby often travels for work. I made a single puff flower and added a long chain and stitching it together to make a loop. I used it to attach to my suitcase handle, which made for a great easy ID on it. It worked so well that I have had friends ask me to make some doe them. Thanks so much!!

here's some fun mathematical advice: you would attach them every three stitches if you were assembling them in the offset way (which is very similar to a hexagonal pattern.) if you assemble them in the in-line way (which is pretty much pretending the circles are squares) you should do every four stitches. the hexagonal/offset way has less empty space, but that also means that the square/in-line way can make a bigger project with the same amount of yoyo puffs. the point about the six-point attachment being more stable is very true! -
