Hello 👋 my name is Sara. Welcome to my channel Crochet for Baby. In today's tutorial I will show you how to crochet this fast and easy crochet baby bonnet hat for baby girl or boy from 0-3 months using the same stitch we used to make many of my crochet baby cardigan sweaters and pants including the baby set above. To make this crochet baby bonnet in the following sizes just use the recommended yarn and crochet hook size written below and ignore the hook sizes mentioned in the tutorial since the little bonnet that I did in the tutorial is a bit bigger and more for a 3-6M size. If you want to make for 0-3M use a 3mm hook instead. SEE BELOW
Size:
NB use 2.5mm hook with any #3, DK or 8ply yarn
0-3M use 3mm hook with any #3, DK or 8ply yarn
3-6M use 3.5mm hook with any #3, DK or 8ply yarn
6-9M use 4mm hook with any #3, DK or 8ply yarn
9-12M use 4.5mm hook with any #3, DK or 8ply yarn

FOLLOWING SIZES ARE APPROXIMATE AND NOT EXACT:
Preemie use light #3 baby yarn with a 2.5mm hook
Newborn use light #3 baby yarn with a 3mm hook
0-3M use light #3 baby yarn with 3.5mm hook
3-6M use light #3 baby yarn with 4.5mm hook

I was gifted a small skein of yarn that was my mother's from more than 40 years ago. I made this bonnet for my daughter's eventual child from that yarn. It came out soooo beautiful.
