I love your videos and as a new crocheter I am learning a lot. I am halfway through the first panel of this poncho and I am loving it. I took a breather and looked forward to the edging instructions and I am a little confused. Love this poncho! I made it with lionbrand mandala ombre and I had to use a 6mm hook to get the right measurements. I used 4 skeins that were 344yds each for the small/medium. I noticed the pattern says to sew your last two rows together, but I did my first two as it matches up with the photos to stitch that way.

Hi Marly! I am doing this poncho pattern and watched the video, I got the pattern and when I got to the 6th row it wasn't looking right. I went back to the video and seen what was wrong. Row 6 says ch 1,sc in first tr, (ch 3,tr) in center St of ea lg shell across.....in the video it was (ch3,sc) in center St of each lg shell....I am so glad you had the video!!! I got it now....thanks!!!!!

Today is 31 May 2020, I discovered that the link to the Red Heart pattern is no longer working. I was able to go directly to the site, type 'red heart perfect poncho' and it comes right up. It actually looks more like a serape rather than a poncho, which makes me love it all the more, some of my guy buddies (and son) have asked if I can make a poncho that is 'less girly'. This is perfect!! (no pun intended) Thank you so much, I hope everyone is safe. Happy crafting!!

I know this comment is old but in case anyone wonders… I looked closely at the pictures and the panels are worn “upside-down”, so your basically sewing the foundation rows together is all.

It's great that this is sized to 3x. A free tunic pattern from Red Heart goes to 3x also. I'm not small, but I have big arms and I never see a sleeve that I think will fit my arms, unless it's a kimono sleeve! Lol. Anyway it is listed as easy and it doesn't look difficult but as I'm reading the pattern I'm a bit lost. So I'm asking if you can do a tutorial on it. This is the number and name: LW6376 Must - Have Crochet Mitered Tunic. Also I would also like to see the pattern for your shawl and to know what yarn and that stunning color, which is a beautiful complement to your coloring and hair color too.

I bought the yarn for this poncho, but I'm confused by the instructions for the neck and edging. I wonder why you didn't give more information or demonstrate at least a little of those areas. I may return the yarn or find another pattern. How disappointing!

You can make the two rectsngles, then you can swe them togather! Once you do that you can start crocheting half double stitches around the circle you left while sewing for a collar :) i plan on doing that :∆

I just wanted to point out that there is a mistake in the Red Heart written pattern...ROW 6 says “Ch 1, sc in 1st tr, (ch 3, tr) in center stitch of each lg shell” instead of SC in center of each lg shell. If I hadn’t been watching your video, I would have never known!
