Just got into amigurumi a month ago. Boy does the little yarn make my painful joints hurt even more lol. Starting to make chunky yarn projects and much easier on my hands. Finished my first one. Used bernat blanket yarn. It ended up at 168 cm or 5 and a half feet long. Got same yarn in a different color for a second then getting the 5 weight yarn like yours to make more. They are so cute. Thank you for sharing this video.

I just wanted to thank you for a fantastic tutorial. I have now made 5, yes 5 plushie snakes and even if I say so myself they look good ☺️☺️ 3 of them were for my Grandchildren ( one of them is 21 😁) and the other 2 for my neighbours grandsons. If youre like me and want a little tounge poking out you could tie a string to the center of the head(where the magic ring is) and pull it through to the side facing outwards. Cut it however long you want but i thought it was cute.

This is so cute. Im making mine with a 4 weight year so its not going to be quite as big but thats fine by me. I do have some white and blue blanket yarn in storage I believe and if I can find it I might just make a big, soft, stripped snake. Thanks for the tutorial.

How did you make your snake so bendy? Mine is just a straight line, like an uncooked spaghetti noodle. I can’t seem to get him to bend at all and he’s stuff pretty lightly. Please help!

Try adjust the hook, it's difficult to bend with tight stitches. Or try use velvet yarn, more soft.

Adjust your tension and hook, also make sure you don't see the stuff through the stitches. And about the stuffing, try something soft and squishy :)

When you say inc x 2, are you putting 2 increases in the same stitch? I'm having a hard time seeing if thats what your doing in the video. Or is it 1 increase in one stitch and another increase in the other?

I’m trying to basically double the amount of stitches in this pattern because I’m using worsted weight yarn, so i did 12, 24, 36, 48, 48, 60, 60 but I’m kind of stuck from row 8 on. Is doubling not quite possible?
