Am only a beginner in this fascinating world of Crochet. My late Aunt Marlene had tried to teach me when I was younger, it just didn’t stick...mind you this was in the US. Now being in Australia, it makes more sense to me when I Crochet the English way. I have successfully created your ‘Snowflake’ watching your video time and time again. I have since printed out the written instructions which I know that I need to learn & understand. So thank you ☺️ Bella, you have been my inspiration from the start! Much Love, Charles xx

Very nice stitch. I am making a scarf using this. Had no problem converting it to a straight pattern. Just a sc for the turning stitch and then began in the first stitch of the next row. Makes a nice solid stitch. I would definitely try it for a baby blanket.

SC is single crochet, or a double crochet in UK terms. You insert the hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull through, yarn over and pull through both loops 🙂

At the end, before you slip sticht, did you leave a chain without sticht?
@bellacococrochet4 жыл бұрын
At the end of a round you should slip stitch into the beginning straight after making your cross stitch - you can find the full written instructions over on my blog here: bellacococrochet.com/cross-stitch-single-crochet/ 😊

I would love to make a blanket in this beautiful stitch. Is there any way to adapt the stitch for a flat blanket?
@bellacococrochet5 жыл бұрын
The reason this stitch can’t be worked flat is because the back of the stitch is not the same as the front - you could still make a blanket if you wanted but only one side would show the pattern 😊
@margaretjohnston28584 жыл бұрын
That's a shame because I was going to do blankets for my cat and dog shelter because it's a nice close pattern. Thanks for your time.🐱🐹

What double crochet is this? I konw it aw yarn over-go into the sticht and pull through (you have three loops on the hook) then yarn over (two loops) and yarn over again (one loop)

This is double crochet in UK term. In US term it's just single crochet.

For the stitch to work you have to work into the same side - when you work on both sides you are flipping it over each time and working alternate sides 😊
