Thank you Tiffany I love your motto " if you have the ability to help you have the responsibility to help" I" ll be praying for Hannah & her family & all those going though cancer treatment & it's effects. I've had cancer twice & have an uncle who succumbed to brain cancer last year. Through my journey over the last 11 yrs I've come to know many beautiful people, young and old who are effected with it. I have a friend, Robyn who defies the odds .. There is always HOPE.. Please remember there are always beautiful people to help & prayer for you & especially awesome God who holds all in His Heart. I be rediscovered the joy of crochet as I no longer can work... Making beanies or blankets or any little item gives such joy. So thank you firstly for telling us about Hannah and encouraging us to help in whatever way. Your tutorials & emails are always so joyful and full of life and love and hope. Thank you beautiful lady Tiffany for your creativity & help me , so far away in Australia, get through the day. God bless you & all those who follow you. God bless you, little Hannah and everyone, from Maria xxxxx (Perth, Australia)x

My Grandma taught me to crochet at 7 then I didn't do it for 25+ years. I started again last year & have made at least a dozen beanies. I STILL had to undo my 2nd row cuz it was twisted..so if you did too 😏 don't feel bad. I tell people, the great things about yarn is, it's very forgiving ☺️👍 Undo & redo 😁

I'm loving this project & wanted to share a couple tips for those who have a tendency to crochet too tight like me. 🥴 1st take a few deep breaths, relax, remember crafting should be fun, relaxing & productive not stressful & anxiety-inducing. 2nd shake it off 😏 I'm serious, put your arms out & give your upper body a good shake, loosen everything up, get the blood flowin, release tension & tense energy (+ energy will replace -). 3rd & final, I use a 'J' hook which doesn't allow me to make super tight loops. Success! 😁👍 LOL If this is you & you try a "big" hook, I'd love to hear if it helped you too. 🥰 Happy Crafting & God Bless 💟🕉️☯️

Hi Dm Tnw! YES! You can absolutely switch up the pattern and just follow the number of stitches and rows the same. 😊. Great question! Thanks for asking. 😊❤️🧶
@karendionne10293 жыл бұрын
If you use a J hook to make your foundation row and switch to your I hook for the project, you will be able to get back into your chains easier. However , I find it necessary to put my I hook away so I don’t use it in the actual project by accident.
@karendionne10293 жыл бұрын
Correction : I put my J hook away . The I hook is for the project. Fat fingers pushed the wrong letter. 😂

Thank you for telling Hannah’s story. I love the beanie too! Do you think I could double up 2 cakes of 3 weight yarn? My hands are ver sore with arthritis & fine yarn soon has them like rigid claws! I have several matching pairs of 3 weight yarn & am pretty confident I can make any alterations needed with a tape measure. Anyone who can help, please chime in too! Thanks in advance.
@CrochetWithTiffany3 жыл бұрын
Hi Chrissie! I would love to help here. Ok, here is a chart I want you to use (or print out) your choice: pin.it/5x98qJW. It's the one I used to make the beanie in this video. You will also need your tape measure. OK, so when you double up your size 3 weight yarn, make your chain long enough to meet the length of the "Head Circumference" dimension. For exampe: The beanie I made in this video, the Head Circumference for an Adult Medium Beanie was 21 inches, so I made my foundation chain 21 inches long. Then I single crocheted into the very first chain to form a circle. (MAKE SURE YOUR CHAIN IS NOT TWISTED BEFORE YOU MAKE THAT FIRST SINGLE CROCHET. I have had multiply people contact me asking why their row is twisted. This is where you would fix that.) Then go about the pattern making sure that the length of your beanie also meets dimension measurement that it says on this chart. And your good! I hope this helps! Best wishes! 😊🧡🧶
@chrissiewindsor3 жыл бұрын
@@CrochetWithTiffany it does, thank you for taking the time to reply, I feel much more confident now. X

Thank you, I can’t wait to try this! Would you recommend making the chain with a hook size larger? I am one of those people who chains too tightly. Lots of great tips in this video for us beginners starting their first beanie. 😁
@CrochetWithTiffany3 жыл бұрын
Hi Pattiwan-Kenobi! If you know yourself to have a tighter foundation chain then go ahead and make the chain with a bigger crochet hook and then for row 1 change your hook out for the smaller hook. It's always helpful when we know ourselves well enough to know we need to use little tricks like this. Makes things so much easier. 😊🧶🧡

Love this but can’t figure out why the bottom where tail is always uneven . I weave it in too but have made a few hats and all the Sam. What am I doing wrong?
@CrochetWithTiffany2 жыл бұрын
Hi Shirley! You are doing nothing wrong. The bottom of the hat is just showing a spiral bottom. You can try to hide that by taking the tail from the beginning and weaving it along the bottom to try to even it out. If you wanted to you could add a single crochet border along the bottom and that will really hide the uneven part. 😉😊❤️🧶
@libbygriffis71273 жыл бұрын
Just finished the hat. Turned out great. Thanks so much! Do you think I could also do this hat in double crochet stitches?
@CrochetWithTiffany3 жыл бұрын
Hi Libby! That's so great! YES! You could absolutely do this hat in a double crochet stitch! You will want to refer to the Beanie dimension chart though and have a measuring tape on hand. That way you don't make the beanie too large. I believe I put the Beanie dimension chart in the notes section of this video as well as pinned a comment to the very top of the comments that you can push "Show More" and see all of my notes as well there. Great question! Thanks for asking. 😊🧡🧶

How many chains for a Adult Large Size? How do you figure inches per chains? My head is 22 inches, will 66 chains be big enough? Thank You for sharing!
@CrochetWithTiffany Жыл бұрын
That is a great question Mel! This beanie project is actually super easy to adjust to fit any size because there is no multiple stitch count requirement. Seriously, all you need to do is chain however many chains until you reach 22 inches and then continue on with my video doing all the same things just with a different number of stitches to start with. 😊. I hope that makes sense and helps you make this beanie. 😊❤️🧶

Thanks for the clear tutorial, only thing I'm wondering is roughly how tall the beanie is before you since it, I know it's 21 around but I'm using a finer yarn so the number of rows is different. Thanks if you remember
