Wow, I did it, I am surprised!!!! Thank you God, for, Tiffany Hansen, I love her. To be honest, I did not have that size hook , I made it with a K hook. It was a practice run, and it worked cause I have a small head. Probably why I am so shocked! I told you I wanted to make it after I finished my sleepy baby blanket, and I did! I gave that blanket out today for a birthday present. She is my sunshine, as well as you. Thank you for being you!

@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Julie! I'll definitely add a stiffer basket to my tutorial list. Thank you so much for asking! I little trick I found if you have made a basket that is turning out flimsy is to use a Stiffening Spray or a Mod Podge. This will help give your basket the structure you were looking for. 😊🧡🧶

@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer! Oh gosh! There are so many different brands of super soft yarns for small babies. I like Red Heart Softee Baby, Caron Simply Soft yarn, many yarn companies are good about putting on the yarn label something about baby. If you are looking for a textured yarn the Velvets are popular, Bernat Baby Velvet, or The Bernat Pipsqueak yarn is fun. I hope this helps! Thank you so much for asking! 😊🧡🧶

Hi Tiffany I've crocheted this beanie twice but after the 4 rows of sc's for trim unable to go on a head, I've not tight tension please help as I love it.
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 4 жыл бұрын
Gloria Lewis hi Gloria! Oh no, we definitely want the beanie to fit. Let’s adjust that band a bit to help you out. Try just doing one row or two rows and seeing if that helps. Or you could do this, instead of moving to sc’s you could start decrease Dc’s. What that would look like is: Rnd 11: *Dc in the first stitch, Dec Dc the next two stitches*, repeat all the way around. Rnd 12: Dc one Dc in each stitch around See how that works and let me know! 😊❤️🧶
@ellaseinfeld5324

Can I use #4 yarns for both? If so what kind of adjustment do I make? Thank you. Ella
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ella! If you are substituting to only use a size 4 weight yarn I would recommend you using 3 yarns at the same time. This will accommodate for the thickness of yarn you want to continue to follow this pattern as is. Thanks for asking! 😊🧡🧶
@sallyannmales4676
@sallyannmales4676 4 жыл бұрын
how would I use this pattern on 1 skein , not using 2 together
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sally! If you were to only use one skein it would change the thickness of the stitches. You would most likely need to add another row or two of increase stitches in order to make the beanie wide enough. If you would like to give that I try let me know how it tuned out! Insert Row 4: *Dc in the first 2 stitches, then Increase Dc* Repeat *to* around. Continue the rest of the beanie as normal.

Ok I’ve tried this three times and the first part keeps turning out like a cup. What am I doing wrong
@CrochetWithTiffany
@CrochetWithTiffany Жыл бұрын
Hmm, sounds like it might just be a tension thing. Try making your foundation row with a crochet hook larger than the one you want to use throughout the project and that will help loosen up the beginning for you. If you project is curling, that is also from tight tension which is super common. We will fix that in the end when making a border. 😊🧡🧶
